I have always loved all the "Event Horizon" sound clips in this song. I feel blessed to have discovered this many years ago now. That almost "Morse Code" sound near the beginning is the text as it is being written on the screen in Event Horizon. I remember listening to this song a bunch and then watching that show again and instantly recognizing it.

If you listen carefully, the background tune, the hi-low-hi-low notes, is from the intro to Alien. The first few tunes you hear when the Nostromo comes into picture.

When I was very young ... my grandfather worked at a 'sawmill' ... this huge band saw zipped back and forth ...that very same sound... sounds just like that sound... you can hear.... eerie... I love it....

Wonder what drum machine they were using on the ending section of this... I've heard that snare, especially, on a lot of electronic sorts of music from around that time but I've never been able to put a name to it. It's used quite a few times on the soundtracks to Red Faction 1 and 2, for just one example.

"morse code" beeping is sampled near the beginning of the movie as part of a cinematic. The weird spinning/ringing noise is either from Star gate or Contact. Not sure about any Alien samples though, Bill definitely sampled heavily from both but not hearing it in this one.
