Front Page Detective stars Edmund Lowe as David Chase, a newspaper columnist who helps police solve especially difficult mysteries. The title derived from a popular true-crime magazine of the same name, and stories were based on material from the magazine.
Other cast members were Frank Jenks as Lieutenant Rodney, Paula Drew as Sharon Richards, and George Pembroke as Lieutenant Andrews.

Great series. Amazing how they could put togther a story in 25 minutes. I truly miss hard core programs without any swearing. Thank you for posting.

for us 40s boomers character actor Percy Helton (Otis Crumpler) will always be a beloved character actor in so many, many of our first 10 cent movie films n 50s-60's tv movies/series....his voice was so recognizable.

I subbed cause I love 40s and 50s movies, especially those in B&W. The atmosphere of shadows, the use of lighting, the lingering facial close-ups, I just find it intriguing. Modern movies seem to favor 10-20 "quick-cuts" per minute.

I love the wit of these old shows and movies. "Being a fanatic must be a full time job" 😂 What I don't miss is the racism. "Good day elephant boy" 😒

Fully agree. Hollywood has a lot to make up for. These programs are a sign of their times, but I don't believe they reflect the entire society of their era. We have progress, but miles to go...

You must admit he does have strange facial features. Now, about that 'honest Injun'. And that blond at the reception desk falling all over Chase, he could literally be her grandpa.

@miadpx. It wasn’t racism, it was a provoked response.

@@jdrancho1864 "Honest Injun" was actually a compliment to "tribal" people, suggesting that they were known for their honesty. Hmm ... on the other hand ... there was the expression, "Indian giver". Okay, let's just stick to tribal casinos for now. Dealer shows a six ... care to hit on your thirteen?
