Instantly my favorite Auto youtube channel. Thanks a lot for the quality content on going through repairing the non-crucial average stuff that breaks on all G's that nobody documents.

Just a tip to add, if you're removing the door panels and you have the OEM Door Lock pin, you would need to twist it off the rod it's screwed on first but it's very important secure the rod with tape or have someone hold it or something or else it'll fall into the dark abyss of the door panel and you gotta fish it out later which can be very annoying. :)

Yeah, makes sense, thanks for the tip :)

Great explanation. I'll have to take the rear door panel off to repair the inside door handle.

Thanks! I am happy to hear the video was helpful for you.

You may buy a speaker refoam repair kit to fix it. More easy.

Never though of that. I will keep it in mind for future reference.

I just replaced the sub and I tried doing the front door speakers and honestly there isn’t much of a difference from the factory speakers as far as loudness goes

There won't be unless you upgrade or add an AMP. My rear speakers were completely blown so it made a big difference in my case.

Thanks for a great explanation. Any chance you know how to remove the passenger Car Instrument Speaker I’m having a hard time trying to figure out how to get access to the speaker. Thank you in advance.

Do you mean the speaker in the dashboard?

I really like your G-Wagon. A lot of the ones I see in America have a bunch of chrome pieces on the exterior that don’t look right to me. I really like your no chrome blacked out look. I just subscribed and look forward to watching your progress here. Good luck!

Thanks mate! I also prefer it completely blacked out.

Was it worth the purchase , drive well ?
@EndlessMotorWorks2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the G500 drives good enough. It seems like it was purpose built for the bad Eastern Europe roads. :D The only thing that bugs me is that it is not fast by any stretch of the imagination, despite its decent pick up and go power. I might be looking into adding the supercharger from the M113K engine later on. Those things, however, are quite rare on the used market, as everyone wants to sell the entire engine, not just to part it out.

@@EndlessMotorWorks that’s I’m looking to get an older one wondering if I’d be happy with it, ill look into the supercharger

@@CHINIS06 There really aren't any major changes in the w463 2002 to 2012. They are pretty much the same car, which the only difference being the interior.

Do you know if there is a subwoofer anywhere on these 2002 G500
@EndlessMotorWorks2 жыл бұрын
Some have, others don't. My particular G500 doesn't have it. If yours does, it will be under the rear seat on the drivers side. Mine only has a cubby there where some tools are stored.

What model year is it and what tires do you have on it?
@EndlessMotorWorks2 жыл бұрын
It is a 2002 model year, Japanese import. Tires are 285/55R18 Michelin Latitude Sport. However in this particular video it has winter tires which are Nokian WR SUV 4 in size 265/60R18

use plastic tools when removing trim. please for the love of god
@EndlessMotorWorks Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I would have used them if it made sense. For removing door panels it really doesn't for me. These panels specifically where so loose, because of the broken clips that just pulling on it with my fingers would have done the job.
