Hey Y'all! In today's video, I have tons of yard work motivation! My husband and I really worked so hard to turn our front yard around and I am so pleased with our results! I hope this motivates you to dig in some dirt 😜and make your space beautiful, whether it is a small outside patio, front porch, or a big yard!!

Put some grass seed down and some fresh dirt. Then every holiday apply the Scott’s fertilizer. In a couple of years it will look awesome ☀️😎

North Texas lady here. Lantanas are the rock stars in my landscaping scheme. They seem to thrive our wild Texas weather extremes with grace. It's taken me a long time to finally figure out what does well in Texas after moving from the East coast 30 years ago. If those plants you planted closer to the walkway don't survive, try expanding your lantana. They come in so many beautiful colors too. Great video!

Dianthus is the name of the pink plants you put in your front garden. I hope everything lives. Feed the new ones Miracle-Gro plant food once a week; this will help keep things blooming. Happy gardening.

The pink blooming plants are called dianthus and should come back year after year. The plant in the purple pot and the bigger one blooming purple looked like perennial salvia which should also come back. Get some Plant Tone and spread around the plants (ideally it would go in the hole before you plant😊) and water deeply at least once a week, more often when it’s hot. Or you can use Miracle Grow once per week. Nice job on your yard and landscaping! ❤

There have been so many instances where I wish I would've taken a home ownership and car ownership course!😂 Thank the lord for youtube, otherwise I wouldn't know how to do any home maintenance. My husband is one of those people who know how things work, and how to fix things, but those are not where my life skills fall.

Hi. I’ve been planting my front yard garden little by little over the years and the most useful advice I’ve gotten from KZbin videos is the benefit of using organic fertilizer in the hole before putting in a plant and then fertilizing during the season. My plants have really taken off. I also like to watch my plants growing every day.

Biotone is an organic fertilizer that goes in the hole when first planting. Thereafter, u can use Planttone around established plants. I’m in west Tx (Permian Basin), and it’s hot as Satan’s b@lls here bc we get VERY little rain, and we’re in the desert. I’ve learned over the last several years what works and what doesn’t. We dethatch our grass every spring which helps a TON! We fertilize the grass every holiday (Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, etc), and stop fertilizing when the grass starts to go dormant which is usually late October/early November for our area. We also have an in ground sprinkler system which is the ONLY way our grass is able to stay green. I fertilize my roses, trees, and flowers 2x/month, and my veggie garden 1x/week. I ran drip irrigation to all my plants which has been a huge help in the brutal heat that we get. Some of the gardening channels I follow r Garden Answer, Gardening With Creekside, HortTube with Jim Putnam, The Lawn Care Nut, and Self Sufficient Me.

Run a drip hose with a timer attached along your new plants. Set timer to water twice a day. Feed your plants every 2 weeks. That might be the key to their survival. Do this at least their 1st year. You are definitely a hard worker.

My husband and I try to make the front of our house look nice every year and it will be good initially but they end up dying with us too 😂 . We have like no luck with landscaping. Even our backyard the grass isn't grass anymore. It's patchy and full of weeds. Sp we just cut it down to make it presentable. The front ia ok but like I said we try diff things and a lot of times end up dying. I think yours turned out beautifully!! You did a heck of a lot of work. I agree ... it is a workout for sure! We usually end up out there for hours and are both sore the next day lol . Awesome video friend! Looks awesome!! ❤❤❤
