I think this is one of the best games ever written on any machine. Look ... that was one guy who programmed in 600kB whole galaxy (planet's etc.) space ships, missions, music and so. It's really shame it hasn't been continued.

This comment aged badly. Only 2 years later Elite: Dangerous came out and became the best simulation of the Milky Way galaxy.

Hey rtofvnt, David Braben is back at it and is making a new Elite called Elite Dangerous. The kickstart project was successfully funded and is scheduled for release in 2014. Check out the development video at watch?v=iTBvpd3_Vqk
