I think you should do something similar like the First Contact war of Mass Effect. There's also this really cool fanfiction made. Just search up "Siege of Shanxi" and it will appear, made by Nightwing with 45 chapters. I think that will help you a lot with ideas, and even give us a view from the aliens point of view as well.

Nice! What about making DCS World flight sim combat movies? I've tried it 2 years ago or so, just for fun and it was pretty cool

Thanks, yeah I'm actually interested in doing more of that aswell and integrating it into my machinimas, the ending A part of Pandemic has DCS scenes near the end of the video where it says '5 years later', just got to get a hang of it then I'll use it more in my war movies.

You can spawn npcs using trainers like menyoo or scene director many mods also do that.
