Fun fact -- He filled in for Roy at PPUSA when Roy left the band and it was less than two weeks before and they had to find someone for the whole set list... Michael did it and is now regarded an amazing musician above many others... Source: Kamelot themselves told me this.

This song sounds deceivingly simple on drums, but it's far from it. This drummer is fantastic! The 7/4 time signature with tom tom patterns, the bass drum/snare interplays and the double bass work are *very* hard to play correctly. I've been trying to cover this on drums for a while now, what a challenge!

The band is great, but such a poor choice of lights for a dvd recording. One big blue mess.
@DutchMetalDevil7 жыл бұрын
I've been involved in the production of this release and sadly the band received the footage in this state and could not do anything about it. The saturation was so high that color grading could not fix it anymore. The team made the best of it.

Epica had the same problem with their Retrospect DVD. Lights on stage shining directly out towards the cameras doesn't work well.

Great sound! Cool visuals (blue is my favorite color, so, no problem...though I understand what went kinda wrong). Excellent performance all around (great unity and balance between the vocalist(s) and the instruments). My guess: This falls in to the category of Prog-(Melodic/AO)Rock? It needs to be played on the radio...immediately. Youngins listening would be like, "What is THIS?!" Meanwhile, I'm like, "What is THIS!" Thanks, yet again, Frontiers Records. When funds allow, I might have to purchase this audio lovely collection.

Hmmm, my choice for the Big 4 would be something like this. Progressive metal: Dream Theater Symphony X Ayreon Fates Warning Neo-prog: IQ Arena Pendragon Pallas Old school prog: Yes Genesis King Crimson Pink Floyd Classic prog rock: The Flower Kings Transatlantic Spock’s Beard The Neal Morse Band Extreme progressive metal: Death Opeth Wilderun Scar Symmetry

I've seen two videos from this DVD and the keyboard cam view is going to get really old if they us it throughout the DVD as much as they do on this song and "The Weight." That said, I can't wait for my DVD to arrive in the mail. I was one of the funders of the project.
