Coming off their critically praised sophomore album, "Emerald Seas", Seven Spires are set to return with their third, and by far, most ambitious album to date, "Gods Of Debauchery" on September 10, 2021.
"Gods Of Debauchery" offers an incredible feast of music styles within the broad tent of heavy metal. From symphonic to progressive to black to death metal influences, coupled with emotional ballads, this record is an exquisite sonic and lyrical journey for the discerning metalhead. This band is the present and the future of the genre and continue Frontiers' tradition of identifying and signing the most promising young talents.
"There is a ton of influence from video games, films, and TV soundtracks such as Skyrim, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Lucifer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Marvel films, and many more, plus our love for classic Kamelot, Dimmu Borgir, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Late Romantic Classical Music. The most important part of making art is staying true to yourself, and we unapologetically did exactly that, which meant exploring every corner of what we love about music, and constantly pushing the technical limits of our own musicianship," the band says about the making of "Gods Of Debauchery".
After the release of "Emerald Seas" in February of 2020, the band had multiple amazing support slots lined up to promote the record on the road. They were geared up and in fighting form, ready to bring their music to the masses and show the world what they are all about. Plans were quickly changed weeks after the album' release due to the coronavirus pandemic though and soon it became obvious that touring would be ground to a halt for a while. So, the band took the opportunity to commence work on their follow-up album, which wound up becoming the mammoth 70+ minute masterpiece that is "Gods Of Debauchery". This album, epic in scope and reach, shows progression well beyond their years.
Seven Spires, an American metal quartet, specializes in melancholic tales and tenebrous grandeur. Part bittersweet melodic metal anthems, part apocalyptic melodic death and black metal, and part Classical Romanticists, they are storytellers who draw from across the traditional spectrum of metal and beyond to weave tragedies of demons, death, love, and the peculiarities of human condition.
The band met while studying at the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, so their musicianship is in keeping with the metal tradition of maintaining a tireless work ethic to be the best at your craft. Following a highly successful crowdfunding campaign and release of their debut album “Solveig" (2017), Seven Spires performed extensively in the US, Canada, and at festivals such as MetalDays, 70,000 Tons of Metal, and ProgPower USA. That success combined with their stunning musicianship and songs, prompted Frontiers to sign the band to their rapidly expanding metal roster. The band’s sophomore album, “Emerald Seas" (2020) was a highly emotional, dark, and theatrical release. The band, as with their debut, collaborated with Sascha Paeth (Avantasia, Kamelot, Epica, etc), who mixed and mastered the album. Incidentally, Adrienne Cowan was handpicked by Paeth to front his new band, Sascha Paeth’s Masters of Ceremony and she was also chosen as one of the touring vocalists for the hugely popular Avantasia project.

What amazes me as much as her absolutely astronomical vocal diversity is her writing. The story behind their three albums is incredible and it absolutely infatuated me. I’d say that got me into this band as much as the music itself.

I first heard of seven spires as an opener for DragonForce in April. They are the only band that I have seen that made me think "I have to buy merch right now" after only one song. Seriously underrated and their most recent album is a masterpiece
@Mewoomoo
@Mewoomoo 2 жыл бұрын
I was at that concert in April. Dragonforce was delayed because the tour bus broke down halfway to Portland. Sevenspires did a longer opening to keep the audience entertained while we waited and I was really impressed with Adrienne's vocal range and the band was so good at hyping up the crowd. I got a sevenspires T-shirt from the merch area. I even got to meet the lead singer Adrienne for a minute and she said she likes my style... that was an awesome moment

Lyrics: Ash to ash, dust to dust End at last, time is done We reveled in the starlight, we lay beneath Lucifer's gaze We were here, destroying, creating Taking what was and wasn't ours as we pleased We loved carelessly Sweat and pleasure exploding in a decadent vortex We wrote the symphonies of the seven seas We sang thе songs of the wind We conducted thе resplendent cacophonies Of the planets whirling overhead The way is shut, the path is lost, the bond is rust From ash to ash, from dust to dust, the end at last The way is shut, the path is lost, the bond is rust The end at last, my time is done, my time is done Ascending from nothing, a little spark in the abyss Through lifetimes, we set the world ablaze Burning bridges without a thought We were gods amongst men Invincible, immortal, immoral gluttons feasting on the Symphonies of the seven seas We sang the songs of the wind When the heart has shed a thousand paper skin The soul will know its twin The way is shut, the path is lost, the bond is rust From ash to ash, from dust to dust, the end at last The way is shut, the path is lost, the bond is rust The end at last, my time is done, my time is done How does it feel to have all you wanted? No more mountains to climb, no cliffs left to dive Far from a home that will never be again You are an imitator trapped in a fortress built on falsely placed worship Earth, give me your strength Skies, lend me your range Moon, lend me your light Stars, guide my way No seas too deep, no waves too high No stars too rough, no journey too far May winds fill my sails and stoke the fires in my heart I will never go home I burned that bridge long ago Drained, now full of hate, I go on Fueled by the only truth I know The way is shut, the path is lost, the bond is rust From ash to ash, from dust to dust, the end at last The way is shut, the path is lost, the bond is rust The end at last, my time is done, my time is done

@@rwb4591 Well, it could be worse! The idiot could've turned out to be one of the comment bots I've seen pop up all over KZbin! Anyway, I had the pleasure of seeing this band twice for RPMfest 2018 & 2019 before BS with CV killed the show. Definitely blew me away as an "old metalhead" ( just turned 57 this past August 2021) & I'm grateful I was a sponsor for the show as well going back to 2014. Other folks you may like from this venue are 1- Aversed although Haydee their singer left which's sad. 2- The Beast Of Nod who just did a release featuring Michael Angelo Batio and of all people, Joe Satriani on a track. 3- if you like old Exodus & some other influences, Lich King who Brian the drummer of hosted this show. All sorts of folks but, I don't know what you like for metal. The best idea (maybe) is look up RPMfest on KZbin. It goes back to 2014, carries into 2015, there was a noise issue so no show in 2016 where they moved to a different location, then 2017 through 2019 before CV had to f it up.

@@DemonKingDrak I think Alyssa's vocals sound a bit forced, and while I dig current AE (seen them a few times) I do miss Angela as their lead. That said this girl has got the metal pipes. She is going places.

My God, those vocals!!! In just one song I don’t think there’s a style she didn’t do better than 90% of the metal singers out there. What a band behind her as well! Like a collaboration between Dream Theater and Alissa White-Gluz. Instant fan!

This is the first time I’ve ever wanted to come back and listen to a song a second time on the same day that I first heard it. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the ones I listen to like 20 times a week like I keep doing with The Poet and the Pendulum by Nightwish lately. This fucking slaps.

Awwwwesummmme... that's my growls voice , I am blown away by this tune and love it of course, got me going in the start as I was nicely mellowing out, then it kicks in and now hair down and swinging and I feel viscious... thanks for this wicked band and tune, I'm a fan!!

This was my first Seven Spires song, and now I have all of their albums. I still want to show this video to everyone I know. What an epic first impression to be introduced to this band with something like Gods of Debauchery. And I’d only gotten here because I found Adrienne’s safe screaming tutorial in the middle of my metalcore revival haha.
