I have my Caernavon 3 marked. With bond vents, bond rammer, crew skills, ect. I have a 4.9 sec reload time even without pudding. That reload is enough to permatrack anybody without a repair kit no matter how good their crew is. Its insane. Tanks just evaporate in front of you.

@@InginerChimist FL is all about getting the right angles. If you have a tank with decent Mobility and some Pen you can work around the tier 9s. I only played tier 8s without gold and still felt pretty unbothered by the tier 9s. That does not mean that I like this change its just not as bad imo.

Well, frontline has a bit of a cushion because unlike random battles it's 30 v 30. This spreads out the burden significantly and in conjunction with respawns lets players be competitive even if they don't have every advantage.

I would still play the premium tanks over the tech tree just for the extra credits and XP that those tanks gives. Grinding credits is really the most frustrating part of this game. I have so many tech tree tanks that i have unlocked, but simply don't have the credits to purchase them (plus the necessary equipment cost) unless I grind for credits in the premium tanks.

Ppl play premiums not bcs they are better tho... You earn insane credits, when you don't have to spam gold at enemies to pen them, which can be boosted further with premium tanks. Everyone wants to earn credits, so that's why u see so many premium tanks

@@bozydargroch9779 Note in the first post I said specific OP premiums. Take a look when you play, and in the video. EBR 75's, Bourasque (sp), Progetto 46's etc. Premiums that not only outclass their own tech tree, but tend to be better than most others as well. Not seeing many T34's, Lowes, Kv5's etc out there. Yeah, you will see the crap ones sometimes, but the percentages show OP premium/reward tanks and the few stronger tech tree tanks will be whats used. And by better players, as the meh tanks are likely being used by newer or average players. This game mode, to me anyway, is a display of one of the biggest things thats wrong with the game.

I would say that frontline is actually working with tier 9 tanks. Reason? Well everyone can use tier 9 tanks because FL rents you tier 9. Also when you get to use tier 9, you can handle those op tier 8 premium tanks better. Also most of the tanks in battlefield are still tier 8.

frontline today was basically this: Borat, Spaghetto, Skoda T56, a few Defenders, EBRs and any assortment T-44 soviet meds. Then when T9 comes along it changed to Char Futur, AE, Conqueror, Leopard PTA. Its either clipper city or hold the (ridge)line. Its still be best non-PVE mode this game offers, better than randoms, better than Steel Hunter.... but that a low bar and the big problems with this game remain glaringly visible. The irony of it all. The addition of the Tier 9 vehicles is not as bad as I believed it would be. What destroys this mode (for me), same as last year remains the idiocy where every game has like 10 Borats and Spaghetto's sucking all the fun out of it.

While its nice to have a challenge and play in underdog tanks from time to time, I would not do it on a regular basis. Every tank can shine, it's just that others shine more consistently simply cause they are objectively better machines. I hope you can grasp that concept. The only good thing those poorer machines are good for is padding wn8, cause people play poorly in those. However, I don't need to pad stats, cause I am well above 95% of the playerbase anyway. So they are no use to me. Good luck if you enjoy playing them though...

And most of them are for real money, like Progetto, Boris, etc. Rating is based on how much damage you do so if you pay for a OP you can do more damage, so you are (considered) a better player. T9s are so toxic in this game mode, especially on the final objectives. its just a massive line of super heavys and t95s. Its absolutely ludicrous. Got general in my second game, played no tier 9s, made 400k credits and goddamn if I never want to play this game mode again. They ruined it... One of the biggest issues is that unlike the standard mm you dont have time to outplay a tier 9 tank in a t8, and, if you are attacking, you MUST use a t9 or you will never be able to push hard enough and fast enough to take the final objectives. Only the defenders have the luxury to sometimes use premiums when they are ahead. The other big issue I ran in too was constantly and randomly being spotted. The combination of t9 vision, sentinel, scout plane, and Inspire basically make camo useless unless you are something like an elc even 90. I have 40% camo on the move in my bourasque, used bushes and kept my distance but I was almost never un spotted. Its just not fun any more, its more of a grinder than it has ever been and has fundamentally lost the the unique draw of being the fantasy of wot were equal tier tanks get to only fight each other.

Cause I would get 'spotted' and keep driving in the open and not one shot anywhere near me. I suppose it could be a recon or something but not early in the game when no one has that perk.

True, although I don't have any problem flanking through TDs and Super heavy meta, quite the opposite. I don't feel like having tier 9 fix the problem of getting rushed down because I still win and lose all the same with and without the tier 9 considering the attacking team also received tier 9. I'm not a game designer but I would prefer the old system of all tier 8s because if you don't have a tier 9, you'd have to use your mediocre crew Conq and M46. The reason why I said putting tier 9 doesn't fix the problem is because I actually won several times attacking only using my tier 8 (borrasq, elc, lynx, amx 50 100) but if I'm defending, I will have to use tier 9 regardless because you can't just tank an Ae Phase 1 with a vk100.01p, so I had to end up using the mauschen or my own Ae phase 1

I've seen Skoda T50's, Standard B's, Kunze Panzers, AE Phase 1's, Concept 1B's, etc. I've still made General a few times but sometimes I have to resort to tier 9's also to fight the other tier 9's and, IMO, that's not the purpose of Frontline.

The game mode has become too unstable, since the update been having constant connection issues, which in frontline are made far worse. I played 2 rounds, 1st one ran out by time my team capped the 3rd base and lag was bad but manageable, the 2nd one I spent more time disconnected than actually in the game, not even actively fighting, just sitting in spawn. Not mention it started glitching on top of it. Server is already dodgy at best just playing pubs right now, but it's made frontline a no go. I have had far more fun playing the t-34 L-11, randomly but constantly losing complete control over my tank than playing frontline disconnected edition. I want to do frontline just to switch it up, but completely useless bothering just because sheer amount of connection issues. Edit - Before anyone asks, I have tried sending tickets in the past. Only thing that was accomplished was me wasting time. The only reason I'd submit ticket now is if I wanted to reclaim a tank, which in almost 8 years I only needed do once.

Im quite confident the problem is at your side my friend. Wot is optimized fairly well, so if u don't have poor setup u should be fine with stable 60 fps. If the ping is the issue on the other hand, then it's 100% that your connection is bad, there is nothing wg can do to help with that

The beauty of frontline is that you can just ignore the hulldown conqueror or a T95 and just flank it. Slow tanks are really not strong in frontline, I've been primarily playing the Lansen and having no trouble dealing with Phase 1's and such

They nerfed credit income earlier this year and repair costs are also higher as it seems, frontline is a credit sink now. Tier9s don't make credits and tier8s need gold against the reward Tanks. I make more credits in one regular Tier 8 battle with an premium tank than in half an hour frontline if I'm lucky, a lose in frontline wastes just half an hour of time. Thats 4 regular games and around 200-300k credits. Frontline makes me only 100k if I lose.

i played fl 10 rounds today. and i think the t9 change keeps up the dynamic in the mid game. when the attacker are too fast the defenders will respawn in t9 and clean up the rush. if the defenders defend too hard you can break trough with t9 (still need to get there as a attacker i admit, but the first line often can easily be rushed). and nearly everybody is able to get an ae phase 1 ore char futur with bp points, which will counter all the t8 op premium tanks. just play your t8 till it dies at one point and then respawn with t9. no big thing. t54, bc 25 ap or e 50 are very nice too. i never felt to load a gold round today and was 5 times over 10 k damage. its still very fun and im happy to have a better use for my t9's.

Tier 9s are such a fun addition in this mode. There's so many tier 8s to bully if you drive a tier 9 but at the same time, because of the fact that there are so many tier 8s who just wants money means tier 8 will players will also never run out of tier 8 enemies. Tier 9 armor isn't very problematic because of the big map i.e. you're not forced to face them like in a bottle neck random battles map.

1:40 Engineering does help on decap, it's the "increased protection" tab. Level 1 gets 5s longer block when you hit a player that's capping ... and so on.

Love this mode. Been playing it exclusively since it started. I find it very fun going up to T9. It always feels rewarding. I think the three things that I love the most is bringing multi tanks providing a longer and more strategic gameplay, the much more open maps to be able to take fun positions, and the fact it seems very LITTLE gold spam is happening. For that last reason, I think is why it is so fun. It feels like my old WoT is back. I could do without the huge air strikes and other reserve things. Could care less about those. Also could care less about repair sites as it is not a MASSIVE issue if you died anyway with another tank in the chamber.

Yesterday I had 2 funny moments in frontline. Ive unlocked mines. First situation on Kraftwerk defending base F. Planted mines on capping tanks. Got away laughing how they panicked and run over all the mines. Got decent points for it and scored highest general XP in game plus two additional medals for damage. The second situation on normandy on point D western part me as progetto 46 vs AE Phase 1. Planted mines under him while doing mad charge. Was giggling fora short while after he died. Its hillarious when you see players panicking when getting hit out of nowhere

I always felt that Frontline is what the game should have been to begin with. Of course, I'll be different in a way that it would have different tier tanks in it, but just the respawn system and a task that you need to do feels right. Premium tank rentals for credits is the coolest idea that Wargaming has had for awhile. I wish they would implement that into Blitz, I'm sure it would help to keep more players interested in the game, I just don't want them to have tanks like Smashy and Anni available for rent.. but like, 'normal' premium tanks.

So I played my first ever rounds of Frontline and I got one game with 12k damage and I wanted to ask if this is good?

Depends how long the game lasted. If none of the zones A-C got capped then 12k is good but if it went the full 30 minutes then I would say average.

I started playing last night. As a player has played since 2011 I love it. The map size the amount of thing that are going on in a game. Awesome! However, not sure I like tier 9 tanks being in these battles. It was so nice to see a level playing field in Frontline, but War Gaming decided tinker with it. I can't think why they toyed with the dynamics of the game..

Everything Wargaming does now boils down to one thing: short-term profit. They are not interested in you as a player, only as a potential payday. They are not interested in how fun the game is, only that it makes money. Wargaming is not interested in balance unless the problem loses them money or gives really bad PR. Everything Wargaming does is money motivated.

More often than not defenders has 70-90% win ratio because when either of the point d-f was captured the defenders immediately spawn with t9 td and heavy then just go fng ham on the enemy.

I don't mind the changes, but Battle Pass (which I have completed) has made Frontline and Steel Hunter obsolete - there is no reason to play any longer, unless you particularly enjoy those modes.

I kinda wish Frontline is a permanent game mode. I'd rather have long term battles and a chance to fight back than battles that end in 3 minutes. Even with a noob team, it's still fun to play longer than get demolished in 3 minutes.

Best game mode they ever created, Normandy is a great map, all tier 8 was perfect for it too, then they go change it all. If it's not broken don't fix it

I had a game today where me (in a concept 1b) and 2 other AE's held the castle ramp entrance on Normandy......yeah it went really well for the people trying to push up KEKW

for me i wish QB would play other tanks accepted the ones he always goes to like the br and prog iv been having more fun this time round in frontline mixing it up with different tanks seeing if they work or not and found alot of tanks that are quite good in frontline from tech tree and prems and i have found a few that well cant do much or anything in frontline but like i said would be awesome to see QB mix it up in frontline and get his view on tanks if they work or not in the game mode.

They should honestly remove tier 9 tanks from frontline. There was nothing wrong with a huge map with tier 8 tanks on it. Nobody asked for tier 9 tanks.

I haven't tried frontlines with teir IX yet but my hope is if you stay in your teir 8 you can get insane credits fighting the IX tanks at the cost of being at a disadvantage but at the same time I want front lines I want to stay at teir 8 only because of the point qb made is the balancing

Another reason why there might be so many premiums is because people might have grinded all their tier 8’s that they plan on grinding and doesn’t want to play them as much as they want to play their premiums

Still having a lot of fun in FL and so far I don't mind the tier 9 tanks. I did have my usual annoyance of putting 101 tier 8 and 9 tanks into reserve so I just had the tanks I was going to play showing. Its a pain scrolling around trying to find a specific tank otherwise. I suppose one reason I don't have a problem with tier 9 tanks is that I really do not need credits. After 10 years all tanks are unlocked most have been bought they are equipped and so credits just keep going up and up. Was having so much fun today in the end game driving a T49 with the derp cannon I doubt they will do it but maybe we can have both versions of FL in a season, how about 2 standard version tier 8 only and 2 as now with tier 8 and 9.

To be fair the most annoying thing I found in frontline is the life of the objectives you need to defend... Now that there is tier 9, i literaly seen players together melting a objective with only 2 or 3 tier 9 such as Char futur since they only have 3700 (if im correct ?) This participate for frontline games being even faster, which that sucks because beside the credits, i liked frontline because you had time to do stuff, like in old days in random, now even moving to another sector to help could cost you the game because everything is so fast with tier 9 in frontline. I feel like frontline is becoming several randoms in a only one game. Not even mentionning the fact that if a team is getting snowball and they lose terribly, the fact that the enemy team can use tier 9 on a already unsavable team, it's just over (and yes i know that a loosing team can also use tier 9 but seeing a losing team coming back in frontline was rare, not it's even more rare.) The winning team should not be able to use tier 9 if the other team is losing too fast/ terribly, nobody is having fun on a light speed frontline game. As some other people said, frontline is very weird and instable thoses days, and there is no real prize other that credits...

Now that they have the tier 9, on the NA server everyone on defense is camping in T95's damn near impossible to break in tier 8s. Especially when there is a wall of them. Its really frustrating

It should be one tier only, one time just tier VIII, the next time tier IX, I wouldn’t have a problem with it, it would still mix it up and not feel stale I think

I like the old way of getting reward tanks even tho I don’t like steel hunt I think it’s a better system than BP grinding which I hate long tedious grinds

Personally, I like the addition of tier 9 vehicles, if the defenders are having a rough go of it, they have a better chance to defend against lower tier tanks. Also, tier 9’s don’t really have a true place in the game as an apex tier, otherwise.

How do you increase the minimap inside FL mode? Hold down Ctrl and mousewheel, +/- keys and page up/down does not work.
