Been doing this for years. Magnetic sockets make this a 20min job. I stress that because I have dropped that lower oil fill tube bolt and it went straight into the water pump pulley. Straight in one of those hole in the pulley. That was no fun to get back.

Did you change the o-rings that seal the thermostats?

That big plastic box thingy is called a “resonator box”, its supposed to quiet down your intake….alot of guys including myself will just leave it off and put a rubber 2” jim cap (plumbing part , rubber cap with hose clamp) you really dont notice too much of a difference in sound and its not that much louder, i like to leave mine off just so its out of the way and more access to other area ontop of the motor!!!

Yes a LMM to be exact, quite possibly the best duramax from the factory once the dpf is deleted!!!!….im in CA. So im still running a DPF, but i have a H&S mini maxx tuner which i can delete if i really wanted too, even got a 5” dynomax full exhaust brand new in the box for when and if that day ever comes….also have another DPF/EGR delete tuner brand new in the box never been used that i should probably sell considering my H&S minimax does it all and also adds 120hp/205ft lbs…..with the DPF still intact and working….thats the main reason why i havent deleted it yet….that minimax tuner is frickin awesome, and ive already had 5 different tuners for this specific truck……which all sucked, other than the minimax and the other one that i havent even used yet so i cant justify rating that one yet….its not really a tuner but more the less a unit that makes it possible to delete the DPF/EGR, i got the upgraded tow version so they claim its good for an additional 50hp…..plus its stackable so basically youd run a performance tuner after the fact….but honestly id just sell it locally for $450 if someone really needed it……the minimax tuner cost me around $900 almost 7/8 yrs ago and honestly it was well worth it and i couldnt be any happier while still running my DPF!!!
