Actually the backstory Chakra-X created for Nazo was for him to become the most powerful being in the universe, but the Master Emerald was the only thing he would never surpass and refused to accept that. So he wanted to destroy the world as that would be the only way to render the Master Emerald useless since destroying the world would cause the ME to be split into thousands of pieces and being dispersed throughout the galaxy along with its power.

You'd think that it'd be a stupid plan because the Master Emerald was shattered and then restored multiple times (both Adventure games, for one), but it's actually pretty smart. Without the planet's gravity containing their spread, they'll be scattered so far apart that it's not even funny.

Yeah I didn't really get why Eggman would resurrect one of Sonic's previous villains back from the brink from death ☠. Though then again he only did that so he could beride of Sonic. I'm just waiting for something to blow up in his face

Oh wait really? That was meant to be a new form for Sonic for Sonic X? Huh guess that Sega didn't had any ideas what to do with it for Sonic X so instead the Sega team decided to scrap it from Sonic X & made it what was supposedly be a new form for Sonic & turn it into the Negative Energy Creature we know now as Nazo
