Gray has claimed that He is immune to Ice Damage in both the Anime and Manga but this is clearly an exaggeration of His abilities as in both media other Ice Wield were strong enough to hurt Him using their own Ice Magic so with Esdeath raw power She could probably injury Gray too as much as I hate to admit by the Gods I hate that Woman.

Ice Lock basically affects the brain. It has nothing to do with cold resistance. But yes, I don't think Gray can withstand cold compared to the level of Natsu withstanding heat.

Sorry that ice boy lost, but for what it's worth I have mixed emotions about Esdeath too. I agree she's cold blooded but it's because of that I feel sorry for her. Yeah she's ruthless to her enemies but at same time genuinely does care for those under her whether it'd be her soldiers, her squad mate's or their family's. Regarding your saltiness from Death Battle using the manga as a source, Frost, you can't really be surprised and angry at this. Any and every anime character in Death Battle has had their manga as a source material, like Lucy from Elfen Lied and Natsu from Fairy Tail. The only reason "we've never seen Esdeath create the ice storm in the anime" is because at some point, the anime becomes non-canon to the manga, since in the manga, the characters actually lived longer than the anime portrayed, including Tatsumi, Mine, and Leone. And regarding the next Death Battle, I think everyone knows that it's basically gonna go the way of Pikachu vs Blanka from Street Fighter; one dead Pokémon

Man, your hate for Esdeath is strong with this one. Overall, pretty good reaction, Frost. And I'm sorry that Esdeath has won. She was a Tactician (Or Strategist). Which means, she has to try to be two-steps ahead of her opponents in combat. I can't wait for April 5th, with Goro VS Machamp. :3 And the surprising part for me is that this Death Battle will be on the day before April 6th. Reason for that is that April 6th is my birthday. :D BTW, random fun fact: Hiro Mashima, the author who did Fairy Tail, is also the author of the manga series, Rave Masters (Rave in Japan.). Mainly, because of the art-style. And Plue, the one creature that looks like a snowman on all four. I was actually surprised by this, when I saw the first opening of Fairy Tail. And yes, I remembered Rave Masters. It was on Toonami at that time. :)

I honestly thought gray had this too, with the train resistance from childhood and demon form in all, but I didn’t count on what percent power she meant with a few days, so my goof, still it’s one insane battle, and if it helps I’m sure after this natsu saw what she did and burn her alive after Now as for the next battle, I’m honestly suprised with this too, however this goes, will, well I’m not sure how it would go, given past goes before, but hopefully can better then the last Pokémon vs a fighting game character.

Natsu does have more feats that would counter Esdeath's abilities. 1. Natsu is immune to time stop against Dimaria though it was E.N.D. but that's his origin. He also can burn time and space itself away against a Fairy Heart Power Zeref. 2. Natsu's Dragon modes, especially his half Dragon Form from Dragon Cry was capable of overpowering and defeating Animus who had the power of the Dragon Cry staff. The Dragon Cry was capable of releasing magic circles across the entire continent of Ishgar.

If they say Erza is not at her strongest when she moved Mach 20,044 and striking at 56 Teraton. That means stronger characters like Natsu, Gray or Laxus can do those feats too. Natsu tends to make the most sense though as he can blitz enemies before they could react and even overpowered Fairy Heart Zeref.

The art shows snow falling down referencing that they both have ice powers and the fairy tail symbol mirrored (I think) is for gray and the demon extract symbol on the fairy tail symbol is for esdeath.

Keep in mind, in anime, it's technically non canon, in manga however, it's canon, because they haven't shown any powerful in anime, and Esdeath is my favorite, and even Gray, and well, she's my waifu (along with other harem i.e. Team RWBY, Sumia, Tari (Meta Runner), etc), but in serious, I was initially think that Gray would win, but after looking at the manga of Esdeath, I was actually surprised, and decided to go Esdeath's favor. And if Carnage vs Lucy had taught us anything, that manga is far superior than anime (because they haven't show any capable in anime), so it makes sense that Esdeath had the advantage over Gray's. And as for Goro vs Machamp, that was complete stomp in Machamp's favor, you'll be surprise about that, Frost. Because Machamp can make 1000 punches in 2 seconds, and it can lift mountain, that's even worse. Even more so, if he enter Machamp's form, then it's definitely bye bye to Goro.

Not counting the battle royale, pokemon has 2 wins (Mewtwo and Lucario) and 2 losses (Pikachu and Charizard), so their win rate is about 50%. Mortal Kombat has had 9 contenders in Death Battle. 5 of them have lost (Raiden, Shang Tsung, Sektor, Johnny Cage, and Sindel) and 4 of them have won (Shao Kahn, Scorpion, Sonya Blade, and Sub Zero). This gives Mortal Kombat a win rate of about 44%, so I dont think Pokemon is the one with a bad history of losing lol.

In the anime (I have not read the manga) Akame had to predict when Esdeath would use the time-stop mid-fight, and moved fast enough to create an afterimage the Split Second it was used to fool her.

So differences from the manga and the anime: Tatsumi and Mine survive but Tatsumi becomes a literal dragon. It was discovered cold resistance could (sort of) resist Esdeath's time stop. The main bad guy (Prime Minister Honest) can actually fight. Akame's sister survives but the angel jaeger dies. Wave starts a relationship with Akame's sister. ...Honestly I prefer the anime because the ending feels less like a cop out happy ending and more fittingly painful.

Generally when I watch a Death Battle, I tend to pick the character I know the least about over the one I like the most. That way, I'm not too disappointed regardless of who wins. If I don't know about either of them, I check TV Tropes to get a basic rundown on them. I hate Esdeath more as a character, but I had the feeling she was going to win from the get-go, so I didn't bother with this one too much. As an aside, while Mortal Kombat does have more wins in Death Battle than Pokemon does, they've also had more combatants show up, so I'm inclined to give Pokemon the benefit of a doubt in this situation.

Inaccurate 1 grey ice demon slayer form is imune to ice(stated moultiple times) if you try to debunk me pleas use things from the manga couse the anime changed stuff like the chain invel used was an actull chain it wasent ice or ice magic it was an actull chain 2 fiore is the size of a smal continent and invel storm was actully concentreded on where he and gray was meaning invel wasent even trying to create a giant storm his ice magic was so strong it created a storm without even trying while esdeath needed 3 days to create a continental storm even if you say the continent she did it on was 3 times bigger then fiore thets only means in 1 day she is equell to invel who dident even try to do it and she completly tierd she needed to sleep for couple of days after thet while invel wasent even tierd 3 invel ice armor is cold as the underworld ice wich is absolute zero and it also ignors durabillity like resistence or imunity and grey was able to create the exact same ice after his zenaki boost in base form 4 esdeath time stop abillity hase shown to not be so great the MC was able to move for little time by just starting to have resistence to cold and ice and its not even a great one while gray is imune to ice in his demon slayer form and have great ice resistence in his base form 5 gray hase above light speed reactions if you want proofe base form natsu was able to dodge sting roar wich is a laser(and yes it is made out of light couse sting dragon is the holy dragon who uses light and holy energy in his attacks) and we see gray react easilly to natsu END form wich is way more powerfull and faster then base form natsu while easdeath can dodge lightning 6 fairy tail hade a whole fight with hades without ther plot armor and they also hade less then 1/10 of ther power also friendship power in fairy tail is littrly having good frineds thet save you or actully friendship power wich is only used for a spell thet is only used 2 times in the whole series 7 ice sheel completly paralyzes the person wich it is used on so no esdeath cant escape it
