The whole 'if I had a nickel for every time' line made by Boomstick is a reference to Phineas & Ferb. Specifically, it's a reference to this line by Dr. Doofenshmirtz: "Wow, if I had a nickel for every time I was doomed by a puppet, I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice."

With this death battle, I can see both combatants apologizing over what was said, then offering to help train each other, Johnathan learning swordsmanship and breathing magic from tanjiro, and teaching him ripple and boxing techniques.

Jonathan seemed like the easy bet when you consider everything he did and faced off with. Tanjiro doesn't have quite the same record. That aside, I personally really appreciated that nod to Aladdin and the King of Thieves. Sad we lost another from that series of movies recently.

The connections between Thor and Vegeta are that both are godly warriors and arrogant humanoid alien princes of a destroyed nation and race (Asgard’s Asgardians and Planet Vegeta’s Saiyans, respectively). Both were disgraced from their nation (Thor was banished from Asgard and Vegeta served under Frieza while his planet and race had been destroyed by him) before redeeming themselves and being humbled after visiting Earth, learning to work with others as they joined a heroic team to fight evil and protect the multiverse (The Avengers and Z-Fighters, respectively), also falling in love with human scientists (Jane Foster and Bulma, respectively), and developing a friendly rivalry with the strongest heroes (Hulk and Goku, respectively). Both also mainly utilize different energy based attacks (Asgardian Magic and Ki, respectively), and recently gained a new godly power (Thor-Force and Ultra Ego, respectively).

Joseph vs Shaggy sucks. It sounds pretty ridiculous and terrible for me. In my opinion, Joseph Joestar vs Simon Belmont from Castlevania is much better and closer than this one. And Simon has more things in common with Joseph than Shaggy does.

And Giorno Giovanna already has Joker from Persona 5 as his best opponent to fight against him; while Alucard has Vampire Hunter D to face him. By the way, Josuke vs Sakura super sucks. This one is a terrible suggestion. You should suggest Josuke vs Yu Narukami from Persona 4 instead.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW Ending's even sadder than that, actually. This is according to people who've actually seen season 2 of Kimetsu no Yaiba (I refuse to call it Demon Slayer), and I haven't yet because Crunchyroll STILL hasn't made it available for free users, so I can't attest to this myself. But from what I hear, it's pretty much confirmed that Tanjiro's the only reason Nezuko holds on to her humanity. If true, then best case scenario she'll never forgive Jonathan (let alone give him the chance to keep his promise), and worst case scenario, she's about to go full oni and Jonathan will have to kill her anyway. And in case it's not obvious, I hope with all my heart it's not true. In fact, now that I think about it, there is that hypnotism thing that Urokodaki did...
