The transition from the horrors of the farmhouse to normal life as a civilian is a difficult one. Especially for Jason. While the violence and fighting is over, Jason's mind hadn't gotten the memo. Jason is eventually expelled from his first high school after way too many fights started by him. Despite this, Jerry Sutherland, Jason's adoptive father, continues to love and guide him.
As an adult, Jason can look back on those first couple of years out of the farmhouse and see struggle. However, he can also see the care and guidance he was given by his family. He wouldn't change any of it.

Fantastic work on this one. The introductory notes had a Beverly Hills Cop feel which plays in well to the troubled teen's thematics, and the sense of rhythmic broken glass also plays into the theme very well.

Also random fun fact - the correct form to punch someone is to never fully straighten your arm at the full length of the punch. You'll hurt yourself rather quickly if you give every full blow with a straight arm

i just found your stuff & i can't help but be impressed by quality of songwriting on display here, really engaging stuff. i think the vocals are a little dry in the mix, like they could stand to have a little reverb or something like that- i'm not incredible at audio mastering -but the instrumental as a whole is quite the solid composition. can't wait to hear more
