Since Broken Token announced a week ago they will be selling a non-licensed organizer for Frosthaven, yes, refund is a no-brainer. Just put it towards precisely what you paid for in the first place

I did back including the organiser. I have got the original BT insert for GH and, whilst I'd say it was "good" there were definitely things left to be desired (maps being a big one but also actual map tokens - being double sided these are/were an absolute pain to find for each setup). For me, backing up front for an organizer was about getting something completely tailored and custom to fit in the box and organise everything as perfectly as possible working alongside the games creation. Now that this is clearly no longer the case in really concerned that, as you put it, the genuine "value proposition" is no longer going to be there which is a massive let down. That said, if rather have a wooden organiser than not, particularly one that fits sleeved cards, so...😔

Yeah, I've requested a refund of the organiser cost. There's not enough info been made available about the wooden Laserox version and the price is not a good deal for the foam Folded Space version. I'm probably just going to use a DIY storage system of Plano boxes like I did for Gloomhaven, unless I get tempted by particularly good reviews for a storage solution once people are actually using them.

My exact assessment, not enough detail to make a decision on new inserts. Plus I have the go7 one for gloomy and it will just make more sense to apply that money to that insert even though it will probably be pretty pricey due to sheer amount of content in frosthaven.

Gotta say, I am really happy I didn’t back this way back when. I KNEW this game would not be in my hands within 6 months, and now I mean we are going on two years. Not to mention all the crazy political things (which this is a fantasy board game, it’s pretend, so I’m not sure why that’s even relevant), constant changes (still not huge on the card design change) and just random occasional KS campaign changes. Def worth buying retail. I’ll pay the extra cash.

I'm not unhappy I backed but it has turned into a bit of a show. I still think the game will be amazing though!

This campaign has turned into such a freaking soap opera. Luckily I didn't order the BT insert, but there's no way I'd commit to buying a foam core solution for $80, or the CrowdOx one based on a couple sentences saying what they're trying to do. The worst part is Isaac sets the default to the cheap foam core solution if they don't hear from you. I can't imagine how furious I'd be if I ordered the BT solution, stopped reading updates months ago (because the updates are such a soap opera) and I wake up one day to realize I'm locked into a foam core solution. Wake me up when we get there. This campaign can't end soon enough!

I'm pretty much done with Cephalofair games altogether after this game If I need another game put out by them, I will just purchase second hand Issac is insufferable

If you don't read updates for a year, you have no basis for being upset. KS projects are at various stages of unfinished during the original campaign. Most projects have changes of one kind or another during the year or more until they get out. So either you're very relaxed about that or you need to occasionally look into it. And it's not like BT had a precise plan during the KS. They couldn't have, the game wasn't finished. All they could show are some rough samples of what it might look like, similar to what Laserox and FS are doing now.

I think foam insert will be good, but as I am not buying any insert, my opinion is not relevant :D I want to get Crimson scales expansion, and this looks delayed again us well. It was like we can order from 10 OCT, today is 14 and nothing happens. I know that not the developer is guilty of that but because printing company is being not up to speed.

According to Isaac and the SJW’s, BT was guilty before being proved guilty. Ya I’m so sure that all the SJW’s that bought this game were going to want a refund if Isaac stayed with BT. All he did was create soap opera drama over a damn fantasy board game.
