Great episode as usual! 1. In recent update, Frostjaw's island is surrounded by icebergs in the ocean so you know if it's in the area. After you defeat and leave the island, it and the icebergs disappear. Honestly, its drops have grown on me since I last saw them. I enjoy ocean content and it cuts the most annoying part of it out (rowing your best boat around the entire island because the money queen is on the other side of the map for example). 2. To reduce the chances of brightshades in my base, I plant several groups of baits for them away from my base, then revisit to kill them (not much to do in the lategame anyways). Dealing with 2 is fairly simple, so if you encounter 3 you can freeze one with an ice staff. Just be mindful that each staff attack triggers the thorns, and if you want a more sustainable solution you can use ice flingo (although it might be different for this mod). If you want more details on brightshade spawning, I recommend Lakhnish Monster's video as it is very informative. And as others mentioned, planting dragonfruits next to lava ponds is also a way.

It’s a shame you weren’t able to finish off the lunar bosses last time but at least we’ll get a few more episodes out of this series because of it! It’s been great the whole way through too, I’ve always wanted to see what all UM had to offer but never really found the time to do it myself.

8:08 blightshade staff is the best way to get rid of them, two plants are easy to take down but 3 its somewhat hard to deal with so staff should to the trick

Use either the brightshade helm or celestial crown with the staff. The helm makes the projectiles bounce more and the crown spawns gestalts on each hit, massively increasing the damage.

You can also make a farm plot, brightshade spawn prioritize farm plant

For brightshades you can make bait traps as dragonfruits near lava ponds (downside: works only as wormwood player); brightshades like harvesting plants the most so i ended up making garden and planting bushes not so close to base and last tip is just planting everything under the ground, brightshades won't spawn here...effective weapon againtst group of them is howlitzer and brightshade bombs (but bombs can destroy structures so need to hold it in mind) P.S. better to do brightshade smasher instead of pick/axes (it just works like pickaxe + hammer)

8:08 easy way is wearing scalemale armor and placing plots with dfruit near lava pools. they’re fireproof amd brightshades spawn amd die on them. only need 9 per pool to draw some spawns away from your grass. a bit difficult but it can be done. just be prepared for overheating. i suggest doing it when dfly is dead.

Couldn't you decon your brightshade armor and use the green neck piece to make another and just do that until you have enough for a new helm? Or does Uncomp change that.?
