Well automatons were the mvp for quite literally of all city's even tough it might crush some ones leg by accident or get stuck, they were still the workforce during the big storm when no human could walk out to the mines or getting the coal of the deposits if the mines effectines was reduce or there isn't enough mines xD, either of respect or just no other alternative effective way to remplace automatons, keeping the automatons around is a fair choice, who knows, they might got upgrade so they wouldn't crush some ones legs because it was on a hurry xD

From what it was said early in the video of the old captain, im guessing that either the captain passed away of old age or just passed the torch to the player while the old captain retires and would only be referenced or would act as a advisor for the player for the continuation of new london xD, im guessing but would be cool specially if its around, could tell or reference stuff that happen after the main game on its last dlc or similar, i doubt it would be case but still could be a good detail xd

Legitimately cannot wait for Frostpunk 2. My problem with Frostpunk 1 was that once you got used to it, it felt a little bit strapped for content. This feels like it would go far beyond the 48 days of "A New Home" and expand insanely, also opening up some more room for creation (though probably not error, if it's any bit like 1). And mod support is another great addition, I can't wait to see what I and others can create with mods that open up so much more to the creative aspect of the game

I'm excited for Frostpunk 2, and I know their attention is fixed on this title. But I would be very interested down the line in seeing this setting react to the world thawing again. With how bad the Ice Age is the sea levels are probably lower, and when things thaw it will cause lots of issues. A third game in the series may never happen, but I'd be interested in it.

Can't help but notice the absence of any military component to the game! With colonies comes the risk of war. Some colonies will grow and become autonomous, then ask for independance. And with many cities, war will occur because the cities that are poorer and less well managed will be envious of their neighbours. It would be interesting to have a military expedition mechanics similar to that for scouts. Basically you would form a war party and send it out with objectives, then hope for the best...! Or keep it at home or in a colony as a garrison in case of an attack, or even have it patrol the frostland. You'd have to pay your troops and make sure they remain loyal. A professional army would in and of itself form a faction and if you're not careful, it could seize power and dissolve parliament. Been studying a bit of Roman history lately 😅

I know the release date is coming up soon, but I had an issue with Frostpunk 1 that I hope will be addressed. In order to succeed or create a viable game plan in FP1, every guide seems to follow the same XYZ steps, all of which are quite similar any deviation from that wouldn't be an failure. It's as if there's a winning formula, and any deviation from it leads to failure. I understand it's a survival game, but there should be multiple paths to successful survive the storm.

Please answer this question. How can I get a faction event to support me and rally in support of my rule or go on strike like an ICEbloods fighting a bear or ICEbloods cutting off electricity and walking half naked through chaos?
