In this episode, we are back in Australia to visit family. But arriving back to sunny Queensland was the exact opposite! After a dose of covid and isolation for a week, the sunny skies were replaced with grey gloomy clouds and torrential rain. But when it rains, it's time to go look at waterfalls! However after a couple of days of fun, the rain continued and before we knew it, the are was becoming flooded...

Bonita, having just watched a programme on the 12 most deadly creatures in the world (from the comfort of my living room in the UK), and finding out that most of them live in the back yards in Australia, then seeing you rummaging about in your mums backyard undergrowth certainly sent a shiver down my spine!!! Ricotta cheese is *really* easy to make from milk. Heat milk gently, add citric acid or rennet. Wait a bit. Strain. Ricotta. Mozzarella isn't much harder.

I want to go back and visit Australia. My grandfather was born in Adelaide in 1900. It would be fun to spend some time there while I can.

Incredible flooding and I watched a bunch of helicopters water rescues from rooftops! Just a wi little too much water!

@@FrothLyfeSailingNandji I lived through this when I was a kid, 14, and we lost several helicopters doing rescues and had to have an air craft carrier off the coast for all the helicopters ! Everything including the airports were not on line. Stores started running out of things, I knew that because my dad managed one of the most popular stores in town. Potato chips were the first to go. But, more seriously, entire towns disappeared , and hillsides came down on top some of them. Most of the bridges were gone on highway 101. Everything was isolated. On the 101 the water level came up above a major highway about 30 ft for a total of about 100 ft !

Small world, didn't realise ya'll were from the Sunny Coast - though it feels a bit more like the rainy coast at the moment. I've been following you guys since the beginning and now my husband and I have moved over here from WA to crash with friends till we find a boat and follow in your foot steps (well hopefully without the COVID lockdowns) to a life on the water. (Though if you want a real "holy shit prices have gone mad" moment have a look at the second hand catamaran market in Aus, it's gone bonkers so we might be waiting a bit longer than we thought to get a boat.)
