Man Java players are so damn lucky. That farm is tiny compared to what we have for Bedrock. Edit: I use controller so please stop saying to just play on Java. The Java controller mods to get controllers to work are not nearly as perfect as Bedrock. Controllable breaks menus and NightControl breaks the back button + sensitivity is all messed up. Even after extended messing around with moth mods, I couldnt get it to compare to Bedrock.

I play the Skyblock version and built a very similar farm. The differences are I didn't use a Zombie and my Villagers don't have professions. The trick to getting an Iron farm to work is you need to make sure there are no blocks within 8-9 blocks of your farm that a Golem can spawn on. If you notice in the video he builds the base of farm up at least 10 blocks as well as when he surrounds the zombie he puts buttons on the blocks. They will stop a golem from spawning on those blocks. If you're unsure if a block you just placed will spawn a golem try placing a torch on the block. If you can place the torch a golem will spawn. Also the reason you would want to build your farm up like in this video in a normal world is because there could be a cave right under the surface where you build your farm that's big enough for a golem to spawn.

A few quick tips to consider when building an iron farm. If you are going to build an iron farm that includes zombies or pillager, you'll want to have 3 villagers. Not 5. 5 is only when you want them to spawn without being panicked. Also there is a 12x12 (I believe) block radius that the iron golem will spawn. So it is best to have it 12 blocks high. Another tip is that no other golems will spawn during the time of another iron golem in the 12x12 block radius. So it's best to get the iron golem out of the 12x12 block radius as fast as you can. There is a 30sec timer for the iron golem to spawn when panicked so there will be a slight bit of higher rate. But this farm build is okay. Just make sure to put 3 villagers when you are panicking them and 5 when you are not.

Getting five villagers takes much longer than 40 seconds. Either you will have to cure zombie villagers, or find a nearby village and lure the villagers by using minecarts or boats
