Don't get me wrong, I'm a BYU alum an understand the inside nature of the joke but seriously, I was never a part of that young adult angst scene. My freshman year was probably the worst when a young lady cancelled my date with her only one week prior to the event, the homecoming dinner-dance. I could not get another date lined up so I stayed in my dorm and slept for 13 hours straight. I found out that the girl was afraid that I was getting serious. Far from it, I just wanted to have a good evening. Oh well. After my mission, I met my wife and we hit it off almost immediately. That was 43 years ago and I have no regrets.
