Frozen Fuel Line in the Wilderness on the TD 18 International Crawler Jan 29 2025

to get rid of the fresh snow which we do not plow in the Kingdom. we fired up the TD-18 IH crawler knows as Dually to pull the Double Z Drag around. but the frozen fuel line gave us problems and we could not give up be cause we had to chase the ice out. once up and running and actually being able to pull a fully loaded Double Z Drag. the motor started to get happy for the first time in 20 years. now we can start to adjust the injectors and injection pump to make the motor run better. also the water pump decided to drip but after greasing it to seal it up it seemed to have stop. oh well just having fun,,,,, i think. also Amazon has my 23rd book King of Obsolete's Pictorial: Kingdom Collectables which is a picture book only offered as an eBook on for being free from January 29 to February 02 2025. please click on link below to enjoy. thansk

Mr. King, You might consider putting a sediment bowl on all of your fuel lines in a convenient place to view and empty it when you see water. If you recall, millions of cars had them right up under the hood by the carburetor where it was easily visible when checking oil, water, battery water etc. You could easily build them out of a small glass jar and lid if you place it where the only fuel pressure is gravity, like under the fuel tank. OK? That's my 2¢ worth. ben/ michigan

yes the only time to fix a problem in the cold is to do it in the cold. plus getting the motor to work hard also got things cleaned out and set to run happy. we have to toss the rocks so tossing behind the stove only makes sense thansk

Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ yesterday 50 degrees and this morning is back down to 25, what A difference A Day makes. Dually was acting cranky but at least you know why, towards the end the TD 18 was sounding pretty good. I'm sure your efforts putting the core samples around the wood stove will probably help a little bit, it certainly won't hurt. Xena, I'm glad you came out of your shell and comfortable narrating because you really do a fantastic job 👍 the POV of you on the back of the tires was really cool 😎 my job here on Cape is to take care of several rental properties, one of the tenants keeps complaining about outlets failing except the breakers aren't tripping, I got to go figure that out this morning 😔 keep up the great work guys I always enjoy your videos ✌️🇺🇲🇨🇦

the motor in the TD-18 has spent 20 years doing nothing and not running right. a good work out being warm with the thermostat upgrade finally made the motor run properly so we can now adjust the injectors and timing. Yo Yo weather out in cape cod. we have to move the rocks so tossing around the stove only makes sense thansk

I looked up TD6 agri crawler diesel specs: 4.1l, about 32 hp on drawbar, 38 hp flywheel, made 1940-1969. Don't know wheel tractor model but assume a bit less.

However, because ULSD has become the standard diesel fuel, tank maintenance has taken on more importance. yes i have seen that on southern truck that come up for the ice roads and they had problems this is straight ice and we think the fuel cap might have leaked over the summer. just keep adding 911 fuel treatment to chase it out thansk

Add 1/2 pint or a 1pint of isopropyl alcohol in the tank once in awhile to disperse the water.if your using real no.1diesel fuel jelling shouldn't be a problem. I was thinking you mentioned using jet fuel which is probably prefered as cold as it gets in your neighborhood. Don't drink the isopropyl as a beverage. It tends to lead to sudden weight loss.the 99 can be used year round.

we buy the #1 and add fuel and 2 stroke oil too. this winter we have added the 911 fuel treatment when it quit and i think that is why we can blow it out. thansk
