Frozen In Time! 4K Drone Footage of Rosebush Slate Quarry, An Abandoned Quarry In Pembrokeshire.

Aerial drone footage of Rosebush Slate Quarry, in the Pembrokeshire National Park, shot using a DJI Mini 3 Pro drone on a cold foggy morning! I love exploring abandoned places - the quarry is fascinating, established in the 19th century alongside the neighbouring Bellstone Quarry, and connected to various key shipping locations by the Narberth Road and Maenclochog Railway, the remains of which can still be seen today.
A number of ruins occupy the base of the quarry, with numerous steep-sided spoil heaps clinging onto the hillside. Two beautiful emerald-green pools can also be found. Approximately 100 men were employed at the site, and were housed in nearby workers' cottages, which still exist today in the hamlet of Rosebush. The quarry finally closed in 1914.
