Frozen Live at the Hyperion Theatre, Full Show | Disney California Adventure, Disneyland

Join the story of Princess and Queen Elsa in this theatrical interpretation! Frozen Live at the Hyperion Theater is nearly an hour long show at Disney California Adventure Park; during the show, you'll see some of your favorite characters, including Anna, Elsa and Olaf. (4:11) The Broadway-quality show is a musical featuring colorful costumes, elaborate sets and impressive special effects. You'll be immersed into the world of Frozen!
In Frozen - Live at the Hyperion Theater, you'll sing along to famous songs from the Disney film, including "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" (7:42), "For the First Time in Forever" (12:45), "Love is an Open Door" (23:30) and the infamous "Let It Go" (29:11).
At (33:45) we meet Kristoff, who serenades his reindeer Sven with the tune "Reindeers are Better than People." Anna encounters Sven and Kristoff, where they agree to take her up the North Mountain. As they begin their journey, the trio faces a pack of dangerous wolves that chase after them! (37:06) After a fall, Kristoff, Sven and Anna meet Olaf the Snowman; he sings about his favorite season "In Summer." (39:12)
Meanwhile, back at Arendelle, Prince Hans is up to no good. (41:34) Anna and Elsa re-unite at Elsa’s Ice Palace, while explaining to her about the situation back in Arendelle. (43:40)
Kristoff introduces Anna to his family, who’s going to help heal Anna’s frozen heart. (47:36) The family tells her about how Kristoff is a “Fixer Upper.” (48:27) After a rousing climax, the show ends with a spirited reprise of "Love is an Open Door." (1:01:30)

I like how I'm a 20 year old woman that just came back home from a long day at work and saw this in my recommendation so randomly *(I haven't even seen the cartoon version and it's already 2018)* and so I went to the store and got some snacks, because I got a bit excited to see what this was about and all. So I came back home and now I'm rolled up in a blanket watching this on my phone. *The moral of this story is that:* *You are never too old to watch children's cartoons :)* (I mean, plays?) I saw this last month with my wife and little kids. It was truly incredible. If you're anywhere near Anaheim, you need to get down there and see it. It carries on the Disney dedication to quality in every last detail. They've obviously taken the best talent they could find and treated us to it. The sets are composed of holograms and amazingly detailed imagery projects on the floor, background, and ceiling, which you can't really see in this video. It's very effective when used to convey motion (like with the hyena chase scene). I really didn't expect something so spectacular. It's $50 to get into the park (if you live nearby), and then you can just go to the theater and watch something like this for free. I sat up in the Mezzanine, and the view is terrific from there. They could charge $100 and more per seat at the Ahmanson Theater or Disney Hall for this!

This is by far my favorite version of this show and cast I've seen on KZbin so far. This pairing of Elsa and Anna is wonderful. Anna is talent both in singing and comedic timing. She's so funny. Elsa's upper body looks natural prior to her transformation and she hit all the right notes during "Let it go" in that she didn't have to struggle to hit the high notes or any other note. Also, she has acting chops, because she's not stiff about her emotions. This is also my favorite Olaf actor, I look forward to these hour long+ videos just to see his performance. Prince Hans, Kristoff, and the Duke do a fantastic job selling Disney characters as well. Overall, this is a great stage show! BRAVO!

Rosie Willatt Spencer. I know right I loved Olaf. He's great I've watched this show like 4 times just to see Olaf. I'm going to make Olaf puppet like on my channel. Okay here's my take on this. I'm a Thespian in training or well- Theatre Performance Major. I tend to analyze these type of performances. Be warned this might get a little long. So I'll put a paragraph break here and a TLDR: Elsa: 7/10 Anna: 8.5/10 Hans & Kristoff: 9/10 Mr Weasleton(?): 10/10 Olaf & Sven: 10/10 Ensemble/King & Queen: 8.5/10 To start this off, The acting here is a good 7 out of 10. I want to talk more about our stars who played Elsa and Anna. Since we see Anna more I'll start with her. So I love her take on the character! But it seem as she cannot do serious scenes without some sort of slightly cringy comedic effect to her if that makes any sense. Like when she was hit by Elsa's powers or was unfreezing at the end. It was a little cringe worthy the way she was moving. (BTW I'm not including what I thought about them acting as kids. I know at Disneyland it will be hard to have kids play kids so I'll leave it at that) Anyway, The actress made Anna a bit too awkward and air head like- I'm not saying she's bad! But Anna in the movie seemed to be way more self aware and can be serious when she needed to be. Other than that She was pretty cool! And Her singing voice was very good! 8.5/10! Now onto Our Elsa! Now her voice was absolutely amazing- hell I could hear some style in her voice and she even sounded like Idina on some parts. And honestly, the voice seemed to be this Elsa's strong-suit. The acting? ....wasn't as good as I had hoped. She wasn't terrible but you could tell that she needed some work with her reactions in character and etc. Sorry this isn't as long as Anna's but shes a good 7/10! It would've been 6 but her voice is so nice. Now everyone else! Hans and Kristoff were amazing! They had less stage time but they still executed well! Kristoff was so down to earth but still a little stuck up in the beginning. Hans was so smooth and then just plain evil by the end. When he was about to mutilate Elsa gave me chills! Both voices were so nice! 9/10 for both actors! I LOOOVE Puppets and when theyre done right! The Olaf and Sven we're so expressive I loved them! And I'm not even an Olaf fan myself but they made it look so effortless and it was so smooth all together. Olaf's voice was so fitting as well. For a non-Broadway production I give a good 10/10!! Mr. Weasleton was awesome and so in character. Need I say more? solid 10/10 The Ensemble/Dancers were AMAZING. Their reactions to the main cast and dancing obviously show their dedication. 9/10! I totally agree, I mean, I’m not a theater performer and I’ve only done some skits way back in my high school days, but I did felt the cringe parts you mentioned. I thought it was just me. 😅 But of course, the overall performance was great!! I was more than entertained. I wish I could watch the performance in person.

I agree with this! I’m also studying theatre and performance. I loved these actors, but I also felt like the performance wasn’t completely genuine. I think their actions felt more rehearsed rather than natural. The singing was FANTASTIC! I just felt like the acting could have used some more work. One of the best rules I learned from acting on stage was to make the stage your reality. When you’re on the stage, that set and your character are your reality. That’s always helped me get into character and have fun while staying focused. TLDR: the singing was great but the acting could have been more natural.
