Red Baron’s 4 Cheese Pizza + my choice of toppings I add, myself, is better than most other options I’ve tried. Brushing olive oil on the bottom of the crust before I flip it over, fully remove the plastic, add toppings, & bake it improves the flavor, too. Tony’s pizzas tastes too cheap, Digiorno gives me heartburn (like Pizza Hut), Rao’s is too expensive, California Kitchen is too thin & often has some unappetizing toppings, but Costco’s 4 pack of frozen cheese pizzas is a decent substitute for the Baron of Red.

Yeah, when it comes to Toni’s, I think putting hot sauce on it and dipping it in sour cream or throwing some fresh toppings on it really helps a lot. My grandfather’s philosophy as a professional chef was: if you don’t have fresh food ingredients ALWAYS add fresh ones to make the dish palatable. (He was a survivor of the Great Depression.)

Best frozen pizzas are Freschetta (cheap, tastes okay) and Screamin’ Sicilian (spendier, but tastes better than most delivery). SS’s peperoni and cheese stromboli is like what a hot pocket would taste like in heaven-best mozzarella I’ve ever had in something frozen.

Most grocery stores make their own pizzas nowadays, some better than others, but definitely better than frozen section pizza. Honestly, it's really not too difficult to make your own, always comes down to whether or not you want to make your own dough or buy premade. But at the end of the day it'll be cheaper and taste better if you make your own sauce. Even a nice loaf, will do instead of traditional crust.

idk if they're doing it in this video, but FYI cooking the frozen pizza directly on the oven rack is a pro-move. It makes the crust a lot crispier than with a pan, especially if you've got a janky oven.

Red Baron is my favorite out of the group and Digiorno used to be better. They had a chicken broccoli pizza that was delicious and I loved getting it when I was little. They still list it on their website but it's not available for purchase. Whomp whomp

The best way I've found to treat a frozen pizza is to overcook it till fully rigid and dip it in sour cream and salsa, imagining a fancy nacho. Other than that, not really worth it.
