Frozen Whole Chicken in the Slow Cooker ~ Easy Cooking

In this easy cooking video, I cook a frozen whole chicken in my crockpot, or slow cooker. The ingredients I used in this easy crock pot recipe are a frozen whole chicken, Andy's Rub, salt, and a little bit of cayenne pepper for color. The cooking time is 5 1/2 to 6 hours on high.

I think that it will get a little bit more color after the slow cooker if you give it 5 mins of oven on high....Will make skin crispy too

Thanks so much! I had my crockpot on low and breast up. So i flipped her over and turned temp to high. I rather eat in 5-6 hours since i started cooking late. Very helpful information.

I'm too afraid to cook frozen meat in the crockpot because the temperature of the meat could crack the pot as it warms up. I have the same crockpot but I want mine to last. Experience taught me this

The chicken does look pretty white. I will put a little butter on it and stick it in the oven on broil for a few minutes to brown it.

You led me to discover how to fry eggs in a small cast iron pan and using a toaster oven. I heat the pan with butter on the stove top, drop in the eggs, then put the pan in the toaster oven on broil (top shelf) for 4 minutes and love the way they turn out. Will decrease the time and see if I can get a softer yolk.
