For the record, I use FRS102 as my year-end accounts basis, as opposed to FRS 105 - even though I only deal with small businesses at Main Objective Ltd, London, England. The reason for this, is simply this: FRS 102 still provides a full, conventional breakdown of Cost of Sales and Expenditure, line-by-line by specific type. FRS 105, alternatively, groups them as 'Power, Heat, Rates' (or whatever descriptive nonsense it employs), proving utterly useless to a small business owner, for whom year-end accounts often turn out to be the SOLE reliable source of internal financial data on a year-on-year basis. Another sign of an entirely illiterate, innumerate world inevitably gone mad. FRS 105 amounts to a load of old cobblers in the end, in my opinion.

In 2016, micro entities are going to apply FRS 105 and they have the option to apply Section 1A/FRS 102 with reduced disclosure.
