Nice work Sikky. It's amazing how much tech goes into developing an engine swap these days. We're well past the time when a bloke in a shed with a hacksaw and welder could put a different engine in a car, and have it fit and run properly.

Cannot elaborate more on how glad i am that haggard garage introduced me to this channel. Such great content. I own a ae100 Toyota l touring wagon. It's fwd fully stock and I'm thinking to make it into a sleeper. I live in a small island called Barbados in the Caribbean ( third world country ). We don't have what would be considered available here like you guys would and shipping is a pain honestly. All I can do is watch great channels like this and wish I could have my own builds. A man can only dream I guess

25k on a turnkey swap, or rebuild FA20 with forged parts, upgrade fuel system, turbo+tune to 450whp at a lighter overall weight than an LS swap

Yes, but would be very unreliable at that level on that engine where as an LS swap would basically be a stock engine. Super reliable

Have you ever considered using a mock-up engine to help with your final fit and finish?

Yes, we actually have one. Unfortunately there are too many inaccuracies with it. We used it years ago and found a lot of issues with how it was made and some very flimsy mounting points that deflect and cause future fitment issues. Due to the extremely tight tolerances we often encounter we strictly use cast aluminum blocks and cylinder heads which we have gutted to make them very light weight. Our mock up engine is now used as a display to show off our mount kits at shows and other promo events.

The motor mounts, and trans bracket as well as pan are done now. We are working on a 25 kit initial production run at the moment. The headers are still in development though so we have not decided if we will be holding the release of the kit till the headers are done or letting it loose early without headers completed. TBD!

Theres other options on the market that do the trick but frankly are overpriced and out of the scope of most peoples budgets. Also that theres a fine line between sharing info through vlogging and giving away trade secrets. Dope to see you answered so quickly as it was prior to KZbin notifying me of it and stoked to hear you're releasing more content.
