FRS Radio Interference? P25 and DMR Audio on an FRS Radio

You might have heard unusual noise or sounds coming from your FRS radio at some point. This video will go over the sounds of two (2) sounds you may have heard and explains what they might be.
Apologies, the camera (phone) kept stopping and I had to pick up from where I remember. I am sorry if I repeat myself a few times and ramble!
Reminder, if you do hear interference, unwanted audio, you can always select a Quiet Code, Privacy Tone, CTCSS, or DCS from your radio settings. Most if not all now come with certain "tones" that will eliminate other radio traffic if you are not wanting to deal with that. Just remember, what you say over the radio is NOT PRIVATE when using Quiet/Privacy Tones.

I really would like to see Frs/Gmrs have digital voice modes FCC should definitely consider it as I've heard alotnof gnrs users use the xts5000 as there gmrs radios and it would be great to use the p25 side of that then simply analog

@CraftinFears_Official Yes! XTS500 went viral for GMRS and Ham users recently to the point that the radio price sky rocket'd. I think we are all waiting for someone to ask FCC to let us, but no one has made that move yet. Lol.

Years ago FRS was only for personal use. Now FCC doesn't mind business use on it. Things are changing. Only a matter of time before they approve it like they did for ham radio. Just like DMR is being used for ham. 🤙

dont really see that happening, thats a lot of revenue from business licenses that they'd be missing out on... though who knows only time will tell

@flightstatic4662 from what I'm ready all over the internet, FRS can be used for business now. Most "business" radios are pretty much being sold with FRS frequencies.
