i'm from borneo. in reality, the fruits exported are cured/preservatives added. most of its are picked or unripe to extend its freshness looking after preservation done. In Malaysia, we only eat durian, jackfruit that fall naturally. some type of fruits we do pick it when it is ready such as rambutan, langsat. the taste, smell and texture of of fruits that are preserve and frozen with the naturally ripe fruit is incomparable. even here in malaysia especially the big city, there is a trend of selling preserve local fruits so it can be sell at off season time to fetch higher price especially from tourists.

There are many varieties of durians in Sarawak, some are edible and some are bitter in taste. If you want to see and experience it, bring a guide who can differentiate the kind of eatable ones. You happen to gulp a nasty wild one, you'll keep on spitting and scratching your tongue as its flesh contains itchy juice even an animal detests it.

Laurie Ellicott They have answered those questions in a few different videos. Tina and Simon both traveled before they met. Tina for longer. Simon decided to travel for sometime like Tina. If I remember correctly they both were involved online in the fruitarian community. They happened to be relatively in the same area and met up. Spent the day together and the next day. Tina did mention Simon came over the next day at 7am. The rest is history. They have been together 1 and a half yrs, I think. Simon has some vlogs on you tube under allraw. His second or third video is with Tina shortly after they met. It's pretty cute. They were pretty smitten with each other. Hope this helps.
