This is similar to the glitch where you could make anvils stay forever in death match. Placed blocks disappear after a certain time in dm, but if an anvil falls and becomes a block, it is no longer a placed block and doesn’t disappear. In this situation, the gold only drops 2 when it is not a placed block. So pushing it with a piston makes it not a placed block, and therefore, the game thinks it’s a world gen block. I’m interested in how they will fix this, because with the anvil glitch, they just made it so you can’t place anvils in dm. With this, they will have to do extensive coding to make sure blocks keep their “placed” status. Great video fruit. Keep it up man.

I dont play uhc at all or minecraft very much, but not allowing anvils because of converting to world gen? Kinda dumb, anvils are only going move down so surely if the block below an anvil is air, then just check y coords below after the anvil falls, and change its state to a player placed block. I dont program in Java, and I'd like to, but this doesnt seem like something too difficult honestly

It's not hard to fix. They need to store references to blocks (whose BlockPos can change), rather then immutable BlockPos'es.

Its actually an easy fix, assuming they are using some extended version of spigot. There is an event that is fired if blocks are moved by a piston, so they just need to update the positions

@@thisisaname5752 Quite a stupid fix honestly, because it relies on specific game mechanics. Say hypixel had a plugin which moves blocks in a similar way to pistons, what then? Throw another event from that plugin? Not the most optimal solution tbh.
