@@kikyozu that was a condition from the author. She said that if they were going to remake the anime, they would have to remake everything different from the original. Which I get. What’s the point of a reboot if you’re just gonna reuse the same stuff?

The violin comes in and the tears begin. This song is so sweet and gentle, and so full of memories. Fruits Basket was one of my first anime series. Before I got the dvds, I checked them out from the library.

kyo and tohru! I was so sad when they didn't kiss in the anime, at the very end where he is no longer the monster he try to hide inside, she still cared for him. The manga is amazing. Should have been more episodes in the anime to meet the rest of the zodiac...

Season 2 of the reboot anime is being released from this month I believe, I think it will cover what happens after the end of the original series :) don't know how many seasons they're planning to make though

originally there was supposed to be a second season, but for a number of reasons (including how Natsuki Takaya hated how the original anime turned out to be), it just never came to fruition. Can't wait for the second season to be fully out, though.
