I love how you don't stop short at unraveling, Andrea and I will add here that your attitude towards unraveling and reknitting has done me a world of good. I knitted Isabell Kraemer's,' April' and the sleeves and body length was way more than what I needed. Taking your attitude I ripped the borders and beyond and re-knit them and I am glad to say I have a perfectly fitting jumper. Glad to be a patron and support a show that opens a new world to me in every episode. The yarn for this jumper came from Australia, your country.

I got six months behind in watching my Fruity Knitting episodes... even as a Patreon... so what a delight to re-watch a few episodes and learn even more. So Andrea and Andrew... don't think that watching your work once is enough... I love going back and rewatching my fav designers and your advice.

I'm so glad you featured this interview with June Hiatt. I used her book heavily while working on the master knitter program and it was nice to hear her story and appreciate the amount of work she put into the Principles of Knitting.

That book basically propelled my knowledge of the craft. My favorite chapter is the increases and decreases. I nearly always refer to that section for the IMO, correct shaping in a pattern. June and Elizabeth are the authority in knitting IMO.

I retired in May and decided to invest time in improving my knitting. I found Fruity Knitting and binge watched every episode. At the same time I purchased The Principles of Knitting and read it cover to cover. How serendipitous that I caught up to the current episode including the interview with June Hiatt to finish the year. This has been an amazing year of discovery. Many thanks.

Andrea and Andrew, you have every right to be incredibly proud of what you've done here. It's been absolutely amazing to watch and learn so much in so many different areas. There is nothing else anywhere to compare with what you've achieved and you definitely deserve proper financial renumeration. So to all those viewers who are not patrons, I encourage you to become one to keep this programme on the air (not to mention the additional benefits that small monthly donation that brings). Where else would we learn about people like June Hemmons Hiatt and Nan Bray and their amazing journeys in the world of knitting. I have a whole bunch more I'd love to say about this episode but mostly THANK YOU and Merry Christmas. ....AND folks please note, even on holidays they are working!!

Oh Andrea and Andrew, my heart was in my throat - I thought you were going to say goodbye to Fruity Knitting in your very heartfelt message about Patreon, and your commitment to unbiased commentary and content!!! I can only say thank you for all that you have done for the fibre and knitting community so far, and I look forward to many more years of your superior content. I think that the addition of Andrew's full-time commitment to the podcast can only help it grow in leaps and bounds. You both have it all - brains, beauty, charm, and that "je ne sais quoi" that goes with on-air presentations that are both highly professional and personal all at once. I am proud to be a patron. May you have a relaxing, restful, and restorative holiday, and my very best to you and your family at this special time. xoxo

Second time through this episode this morning. Such a treasure. I purchased June Hemmons Hiatt’s book when I first watched this episode. Newish knitter loved the book for the pictures. Took the advice about using as a textbook. Blasphemy it may be, but I started WRITING in the book, almost like journal entries. Recording what project, what problem and what I took from a particular part of the book. I have documented how I learn. That is encouraging when I get to the next moment of, “I don’t know how?” Maybe not today, but I will learn. Andrea said I could learn to knit. Andrew proved he could do, therefore, so could I. So grateful to them for the encouragement and useful info. Wrapped in a beautiful package.

I waited for years for the second edition to go to print and quickly bought it. At one time I even considered buying the first edition on Ebay for hundreds of dollars. Ms. Hiatt's reputation with the first edition was well known among knitters. It was such a pleasure to hear her describe her writing process. I consider it my go to book for any knitting technique and love all the options she provides.

I subscribed and became a patron after watching my first episode just a few months ago. I tell everyone about the quality of your fantastic programs, and I can't wait to see another. (Yes, I'm in dire straits here--I've become a "Fruity-holic," forgetting to eat, sleep--YIKES, even knit--because I'm binge watching previous episodes.) I especially love the shepherdess segments and all the interviews and the incredible quality of the outdoor filming. And the two of you have such generous, engaging personalities. I simply can't heap enough praise on you for the quality and content of your video-casts. I'd be devasted if you couldn't continue or had to cut back. So here's what I say to all those viewers who've not yet signed on as patrons: DO IT--DO IT NOW--GET RID OF THE GUILT--IT'S CORROSIVE TO THE SOUL!

😂😂😂 I’m sorry Andrea. Knitting accessories are a lot of work, but doing full garments are my Achilles Heel. It’s the commitment thing on such a long standing project with little time to knit. I actually knit small items like Half-finger Mittens with Flap and gloves, hats, socks. I guess because I live in NY it’s portable knitting 😀 I truly wish I could afford to upgrade to a “Shetland”, but I can only afford to be a “Merino” patron at this time in my life and I do enjoy your enormous amount of work you do to produce this wonderful podcast that I always look forward to watching. Thank you for this fine program Andrea and Andrew. I also thought you were no longer going to publish. PLEASE! More viewers need to support this program! Any amount helps. I find the information so helpful. I am curious for future programs of your journey from concert pianist to knitter. You are a wonderful pianist which happens to be my favorite instrument.

Hi Sue, it takes a ton of practice to keep up that level of skill. I don't have much time now. So happy to hear that you enjoyed it!

Another amazing episode and so much to learn. Andrea, you so well represented the reality of the work required to produce The Fruity Knitting Podcast. You were courageous and your direct approach is refreshing. I hope all your fans are going to sign on to Pateron!! I’m using my commitment!! We can’t lose you and Andrew. The best is yet to be. You are bringing us something very unique and valuable. Finally, Andrea-the video of your performance was amazing! Very talented and just a baby at the time. Have a wonderful Christmas and all the best in 2019 to you both!!

I love your interviews and I'm very happy that I can financially help in the production of your videos. The objects that you knit and the structure of those object are created in the same fashion that you put into your videos.

Your detailed efforts are very appreciated and has added knowledge to my knitting journey. Thank you for all your hard work, and understand your not making money at this like you should. There should be a way KZbin could pay you, but I understand about patrons and will look into joining very soon. The beauty industry side of KZbin make so much money on side collaborations with some of the large makeup Co. maybe it could get better for all the KZbin community. Your piano playing is just beautiful! Thanks and happy holidays to you two. Judy

I discovered you earlier this year and have so appreciated all that you both have done to produce such wonderful quality programmes and I’ve learnt so much that I signed up to Patreon recently. Think of it as an alternative magazine subscription!, happy New Year and hope you’ve enjoyed Wales!

I love the fit on the Twagoes hat. I usually don't like the typical "stocking cap" . However this one has just enough increases to give it a sort of slouchy beret effect the way Andrea is wearing it. I might like to try that for a colorwork project. Oh my, they are all so beautiful; I can't even comment on them all. I'll just say 5 stars for 7 out of nine favorites. That's not to take away from the other two. How can it when I have 5 favorites!

I really love what you do. I wasn't giving you guys a lot of money on Patreon but I just doubled it and a bit more. You do the best work, and how great it would be if you both could contribute to it on a full-time basis. You're fantastic and what you offer is so unique.

Thanks for all you both do! I just did a yarn swap with my friend Sarah who lives in Australia--she sent me some White Gum Wool :) and . . . The Principles of Knitting was the 2nd or 3rd book I picked up when I started knitting again many years ago now. Lovely to hear more from both women--and Thea! Happy holidays! ~Melissa
