I have to watch this each year. I came back to my Jewish roots 2 years ago. Before that my late Husband did this. I study with a Torah Partner, but at my age I always have to look things up. Have a safe and happy Hanukkah. I pray for a good year. May our Hostages be released back to their families.

Thank you for this video and tutorial. I wanted to be Jewish since I was 10 and read Number The Stars. Now I'm 38 and decided to just jump in with both feet and my 3yo. This was really helpful, especially since I learn best by listening and memorizing. I didn't quite get the song words but because you put the song name, I can find it and follow along and practice. Practice is REALLY important because this year the last two nights fall while I'm at my parents who have consented to stand there while I celebrate Hannukah (next to a Christmas tree). As long as I respect their traditions, they'll respect mine, and as the ten commandments say, Honor thy Father and Mother. So I am, and they'll tolerate me, respectfully.

Thank you for helping me with the Jewish side of my soul that has been fighting through the Christian part of my soul that was handed to me , my father is Christian and my mother was Hebrew but was ashamed so to enjoy Hanukkah I always had to go to my aunt who was not ashamed and I am not ashamed, and I want my daughter to learn about our heritage without being ashamed. I guess here is a good start , I felt a inner peace while I enjoyed the video while I lit the menorah and then the blessing and had latkes, I’m on a job by myself and this helped me find some peace and gave me company with my dinner and I didn’t feel lonely 😊thank you ! 🙏🏻🕎

Shalom Sarah Malka and followers! Regarding the hand one lights with: does it make a difference if one is left handed, since that is the predominant hand?
