It's not easy now days? When has it ever been easy? Between the Holy wars to the genocide and attempted irradication of my pagan ancestors, to say that following any belief system was ever easy is a statement made by privilege and only by the privileged.

I love your kitchen! When my son was small, he was diagnosed as EXTREMELY allergic to milk. We had to carry the Epi-Pen around, had to use it once. Scary! Anyway, when he was first diagnosed, this was before KZbin, before Facebook.... I was so overwhelmed about how to keep him safe but also how to make sure he ate nutritiously. I had heard about keeping a kosher kitchen, and I educated myself about kosher food labelling. It really gave me a lot of peace of mind, because if the product was labeled as PARVE, I could trust that it was something he could eat safely! Happily, he outgrew his allergies! And he is a very healthy and happy 21-yr-old now.

I had a coworker who was orthodox in my teens and she quite literally saved my brother as she taught us the kosher symbols on food and suddenly we could identify IMMEDIATELY if a product had milk contamination (he has a very severe allergy and before she taught me and then I taught him, there were so many incidents and they had been getting worse). Kosher symbols are SO reliable it's amazing when cooking for family with allergies.

Your religion provides a way for you to find comfort, shelter, and direction from God by enabling His blessed presence to work in all parts of your daily life even down to the foods you eat and the ways you clean then prepare them. I stumbled onto this page and may I say looking at how you have organized your kitchen, you have my utmost respect. This is amazing. I knew about the meat and milk restrictions but never knew how much went into keeping an Orthodox kosher kitchen. I do love organization and I fully agree, having items like your wash gloves with cute sayings make things much more enjoyable. I use long gloves with flower patterns on top. Just cheers me right up. I now need to look at more of your videos. I love learning about different religions and beliefs. Thank you for sharing and bright blessings. 🌞

This is the first video I've seen of yours and, may I say, I love your kosher kitchen :) I live in a small apartment and don't often have a lot of space or energy to do much cooking, so there's something satisfying about exploring your large and well-organized space and hearing in your voice how much you love it too.

I learned about a Kosher kitchen when traveling on a train in France many years ago. All the other passengers in the compartment seemed to have been a group of Jewish ladies returning from or going to an event in Paris. There were Jewish groups (this was also new to me). At some point, one lady that she didn't know how these other ladies managed a kosher kitchen and she was echoed by several others. My ears pricked up instantly because I had never heard of such a thing. The ladies had a long and detailed discussion on how they organised their kitchens and cooking around the rules of meat and milk. It was fascinating. It was also very interesting to listen (yes, eavesdropping) to their conversations about being Jewish in their various areas. Some lived with their husband and children, visited relatives in other towns and others lived in Jewish communities, so there were the typical conversations about the claustrophobic notion of living in a tight-knit community (from those who didn't) and feeling isolated without their community (for those who did). It was the shortest long train trip I ever took. I love hearing or reading about other cultures. They always reveal interesting differences but mostly what we all have in common. Thank you for making these videos.

It finally clicked tonight why, two decades ago, a teacher turned down the bread I offered her due to keeping kosher. I knew about not mixing meat and milk, but I was very confused why she couldn’t eat nice homemade bread! Even though I’ve known for a while now that even pots and pans had to be kept separate I don’t think it occurred to me that the prep surfaces did too.

Long time watcher, first time commenter. I decided to comment to thank you for how informative your videos are! I'm not Jewish but I am a writer who wants to write Jewish characters and do them and their religious practices justice. I take so many notes when I watch your videos (especially this one!) and there's always small details in your videos that I don't find mentioned in other resources I've looked at. I've always been fascinated by Judaism and find it such a wonderful and lovely religion with so many intricate details. You have such a soothing voice, I put your videos on in the background when I'm doing homework, writing, or knitting and it is so relaxing.

You have an amazing amount of storage for the size of your kitchen. I love your upper double corner cabinet. Perfect way to utilize that awkward space. I love your kosher kitchen. I Love Kosher Kitchen. I am very impressed with your organization in a small kitchen! We are not Jewish but we have multiple food allergies in our home and Kosher shopping and meal prep is very useful for learning to prepare different foods for different allergies all in the same small kitchen. I noticed paper on the onions in one of your videos and wondered why. I cannot find the video for pantry organization so I thought I would ask here. Thank you so much for sharing your skills and your love in these videos.

hello sweet HCP colleague! i hope you have found the answer in the 50$ shabbat prep with all the ways i keep my produce fresher longer! if not, heres the answer to your question, I wrap the onions / I should say I placed them on empty egg carton's and cover them with paper it is where I found that they last longer and do not germinate as fast I hope it helps
