Lyrics: She was only sixteen, only sixteen But I loved her so But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know We'd laugh and we'd sing, and do funny things And it made our hearts glow But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know So why did I give my heart so fast, it never will happen again But I was a mere child of sixteen, I've aged a year since then She was only sixteen, only sixteen Oooh with eyes that would glow But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know So why did I give my heart so fast, it never will happen again But I was a mere child of sixteen, I've aged a year since then Now she was only sixteen, only sixteen Oooh but I loved that girl so But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know Yes she was too young to fall in love And I, I was too young, I was much too young to know Låtskrivere: Sam Cooke

You know I will be 56 yrs young this comming July.... I remember the seventies sure I was young. TV signed off right after midnight... Until the midnight special that is just remembering back when life had no worries that is until the 80's when HIV Aids was the talked about world wide . It only scared (worried) with what if.....?(my wife was given blood after given birth to our first born 1982) She could of been given tainted blood . ? My oldest is 38....2 grand children,My ex wife remarried, and my 14 year old daughter tells that nobody listen to that kind of music any more.. And that I am stuck in the 70's.. Well I know one thing for sure they don't make cars like they did back then and they sure don't make (write /sing) music like it was back then. I am just happy to be part of that era.. Alot has changed just in the last year with everybody panicking about covid.... But you know just put my head phones on and listen to some 70's music sure brings back alot of good times with friends & family that are no longer here. Life is to short even if I live as long as my Grandparents did at 81.... Guess I have 26 more years to enjoy the 70's

I’m sure he left quite a hole in your life, sorry to hear that part, but glad you had those years. It’s always good to hear of a long marriage, that’s as it should be. With the right people, marrying young is much better. You aren’t yet set in your ways, you grow together, and you have each other through times which are otherwise difficult to navigate alone. And your more of life’s memories, those teen and early twenties include each other. What a wonderful thing that is. 😊💕

This video has brought me so much peace at times I hope we never lose it.
