Landon is such a trooper. Like this kid is so resilient. I broke my wrist last Friday right at the joint and the fracture was misaligned too. They manipulated it in the emergency room and even though I was on morphine and several other drugs I screamed bloody murder. I have no clue how Landon did that so calmly. It’s been over a week now and I just got a cute pink cast on it. I am still in so much pain and taking painkillers at least twice a day. I have no clue how Landon did it. He is incredible.

Apparently when I broke my arm as a kid, I told my nan when she asked if it was broken “no it’s not broken Nanna, it’s just really bent” 😅 they also didn’t restraighten it initially & ended up rebreaking my arm under general anaesthetic a couple weeks later! I was in a cast for 3months total :/

Landon is such a brave kid!!! When I was a little bit older than him I broke my arm, but it was both of the bones. The first doctor we went to also said it was my wrist and gave me a wrist brace. After a couple of weeks my mom took me to the orthopedic surgeon and they had to re-break my arm and reset it. The bones had started to grow back together wrong. Glad that doctor caught it for you guys before he had to go through that!!! I am 21 now and you can't even tell!! Love your videos I hope you enjoy my story!!!

Landen is amazing! Such a stoic kid. I would imagine at that point the only way to 'guarantee' getting it back straight would be to surgically break it and put a plate in, which wouldn't be worth it when even if it's not fully straight he'll still have full use of it. Hoping for a smooth recovery for him from here on out!

I could be 1000% completely wrong and way off here, so if I am, I apologize and don't mean to come off in a rude way whatsoever. BUT I just wanted to say that reading your comment sounded a little like you were low key shaming Jess or throwing her under the bus just because she didn't cry for Landen during the appt. Saying you would have bawled for him as his mother but Jess didn't so it kinda sounds like you're calling her lesser of a mom because she didn't cry for him. But like I said, I may be wrong and could have just taken your comment the wrong way, again I apologize if I did take it wrong but I was just giving my opinion and didn't mean any hate towards you or anyone whatsoever.

@krystalallday28193 жыл бұрын
@@prettyyoungthing1008 obviously the part where she said "as a momma I would have bawled for you" and the reason it could have been taken that way is cuz Jess didn't bawl so it could have sounded like she was kinda sayin well since Jess didn't then she's a lesser of a mom BUT like I said it's not that serious and i wasn't sure if that's what she meant so that's why I said that in my original comment. I didn't mean any hate once again and I do not want to continue to discuss it over and over again especially since the person I was talking to directly hasn't even replied so there's really no need whatsoever anyways. I wasn't being mean or rude. I was just stating my opinion and I was clear to let original commenter know that I didn't mean it with any malice or hate at all and I still stand by that. I apologized ahead of time just in case I was in the wrong and this person felt offended by my "assumption/question". But yeah I think I made it very very clear and understandable in my original comment as to WHY I thought that and how it could have seemed that way so I'm not really trying to dwell on it nor keep talking about it hours and days later. But have a great day and stay blessed 😎💪🏻👍🏻

When my son broke his arm they sent him straight to the bone specialists and put him into surgery to straighten it out and then potted it, can't believe the first hospital didn't do that?! It makes sense why they did the whole arm. The radius is the one that helps ur wrist turn, so with his radius being broken and the way it was broken, it needed to be supported on both side so he doesn't twist/fall on his arm rebrakeing it.

A lot of us don't live in places with enough providers to make best practice/recommendations humanly possible. This is reality in many populated areas especially places that have seen rapid population spikes, as well as rural areas. Where I live they will straight up tell you all the time they know you should be seen sooner but there's nothing available. I'm a human therefore a patient and also work for a major health network. This is everyday life.

I'm a little confused as to why they didn't compress the fracture at the first hospital. Every hospital has Ortho on staff or on call & they absolutely could have had a pro come in to reduce & compress the break. I had an issue with this because the ortho office I went to didn't disclose that he was a spinal surgeon not an Orthopod so I had to have 2 surgeries on it later. Now I have cadaver bone, plates, screws, pins & wires in there & had to have a piece of bone removed.
@SharpLife43 жыл бұрын
To be extra sure I would maybe check with a top Pediatric surgeon that he doesn’t need surgery. Just seems weird with that level of break to not straighten it. You can also usually write a formal complaint about your experience and ask why they treated him the way they did so you get answers and they learn
