I think people (not you specifically) misunderstand how the first guy got away with gaining positions while serving a penalty. He got away with it because on lap 1 everyone was going pretty slow in a group, that's why. If it was full race pace he wouldnt get away with it, just like when dave got a slowdown and ended up in the same position as before even when he served it differently. Its working as intended, its just that the way it works is based on a pre-set pace that the slowdown compares itself to. So as long as you go slower that than pre-set pace, you can clear it. And everyone was going slower on lap 1.

Mate, I got one yesterday for giving a guy a little nudge to help him speed up after a bad t1 exit for him, he then slowed down to pull over and quit. Then my 0x went to 4x. Nice

Seems like the blue car's tactic was to back you up on braking and entry to the apex, then speed away. Seems like he's ripe for outside/inside corner setup, or a shunt into next week /shrug

I really hate the physics model on tires or what ever “compound” they modeled it for. But race tires aren’t this fragile. I’ve driven a 992 GT3 on a road course a couple times and they are very forgiving tires. Locking them up is one thing but pushing hot is what they’re designed for. The amount of “drifting” and over driving you’d have to do to get the greasy 1 hard lap tires in iRacing is crazy. I wish they’d fix this

I presume Paolo was running low or no downforce. It makes it so hard to pass on Spa. Where you're fast they just have to get to the apex and you need to wait and, even with slipstream, you can't close the gap to them on the straights. I've got a race at Mt Panorama in GT4s this week and the Porsche there does the same thing. Quick over the hill but can't get past on the straights

Ye paulo held u up ,u were all over him 1st half but 2nd half not as quick but quicker maybe had a little damage? If theres a car all over me or one thats pulled seconds out of the delta ill let them past gladly to save any dramas ,yes he didnt have to and was all with in the rules but i would of left u infront after the slow downs or not defended so much. Frustrates me and i actually think people like this make it less enjoyable ,how far would he of gone to keep that position? Ive seen heaps of desperados who will do anything to keep or get a position Anyway thats a waffle,good race and content as always Dave,cheers

Are you times faster, or are the other people slower? You might be getting the most out of the fixed set ups, but when the set ups are open, the wizards manage to make a set up that simply outperforms your car.

It should be possible to code something to get those kind of drivers like the white Porsche in the beginning of Lap 1, getting a penalty like a stop&go or drive-through. I have never understood this stupid slow down thing. It is dangerous and useless. It was a mistake to be implemented ever. That is my personal oppinion though. This guy I would judge did it on purpose knowing, that he would go unharmed and get places he does not deserve to get. Hell is it so hard to implement penalties like in real life instead of an artificial stupid slow down thing which is unreal? Or they should really implement a slow down zone like in DTM or GT Masters, where you have to slow down and drive through a sector at a given slow speed so that places he took would have given back to those who deserve their places.
