nothing wrong with ads, they have interesting visual elements, cinematography, concepts and vibes. based on the commercials you see you could tell what era you're in and the channel it's on.

The amount of effort that went into the last ad has taken a massive dump on ads nowadays. Holy crap, the sequence of events with the different mediums reminded me so much of early KZbin fight animations. I do not know why, but Frutger has such a nostalgic vibe.

It's weird, as a kid I also heard adults hyping us about saving the planet and using stuff that was more eco-friendly a lot. I remember my teacher at the time telling us that in at least between 2016-2020, solar cars would certainly become the most popular cuz it was more eco-friendly. There was always this kind of talk in my school that sunlight would replace all other kinds of energy including in people's homes in just a few years, I was so excited, I thought that as an adult, I'd own a solar car. It did happen lmfao. :'D

I know we all probably only like this because it's nostalgic, but I generally think it's just a really pretty aesthetic and wish we kept it. I know some people say that we hate mentalism now but we'll miss it in the future when we have a new aesthetic, but I actually do not think I'll have nostalgia for minimalism. It's just really boring and doesn't give me a feeling of anything. Fruiter areo even as a kid then an young adult now just always gave me some type of warm hopeful feeling.

As an artist, it’s mind blowing how we went from this to absolute minimalism. We lived in a time where the 60’s acid trips from Yellow Submarine and the first Charlie Brown movie came back in an even bigger form that was more wild and it was highly appreciated by lots. Even everyday things like food packing designs and computer interfaces had this kinda shit, looking at stuff like those Google Fi ads and the Kroger ads pales in comparison to what we had in the 2000’s. I feel that’s way that decade is appreciated so much is because a lot of bad ass things came out then that were cutting edge like Windows XP, the Mac G3, the Microsoft Xbox, DVD’s, etc.

from childhood I remember hotpoint aquarius washing machine advertisement ♡w♡ and also advertisements with shampoos and shower gels, where girls wash themselves somewhere in the jungle while listening to soothing music, I then imagined how I wash myself like that too, I also remember blue curtains with fish, Palmolive liquid soap in the same style, and a picture with dolphins in the bathroom, after which I came into the room and turned on the lamp with fish and the computer with Windows 7, on the shelf there was a figurine of a dolphin - a souvenir from vacation, and my sister had a cool keychain with liquid

I'm actually noticing something interesting.. In most of these commercials, they mostly use narrators which what commercials used to have back in the 70s, 80s and 90s. I'm happy that the format still feels familiar in these 2000s ads. Everything post 2020 ads is just straight up lazy and filled with stupid musics.
