Thanks ever so much Phil! Really is an interesting little machine :) Wonder if they will have a Sentinel Gala with "Joyce" from Midsomer Norton at some point ;)

I remember when the loco first came to Bitton. It was a mess... Lovely to see it up and running!

They really have done a superb job with her!

SDJR7F88 That’s good to see. Where I am now, it’s Oliver Cromwell that needs fixing. That’s a little different from a small sentinel XD

If anyone made a remake of the 'Titchfield Thunderbolt' Fry would be an ideal substitute loco for when the 14XX was derailed and out of service!!
@SDJR7F884 ай бұрын
Certainly would be interesting

@SDJR7F885 жыл бұрын
Two in the South West of the UK at least, there's one or two more running in the uk as well, plus a few others around the world :) Still only a handful though from what Ive seen

How do the Sentinel locomotives work?
@rjmun5805 жыл бұрын
They're closely related to the Sentinel steam waggon. If you Google` Sentinel steam locomotive` there's a lot of information on them'
@AndreiTupolev5 жыл бұрын
It has a vertical boiler (coal fired), and a two cylinder vertical engine (dual high pressure) that drives through gearing.
@nickelplatenerd69895 жыл бұрын
Oh, I know the diesel sentinel shunters used hydraulics, so I thought these were steam-hydraulic locomotives. Anyways, thank y'all for the information.

AndreiTupolev I saw that during the video. Makes me think of the coffee pot locomotives.
