The puppet gave life to the souls and was their “protector” or something like that. Also later the puppet’s soul was in lefty. All Cassidy really did was put William afton in hell but they couldn’t really do that without the puppet, Henry, and Michael. Also later William escaped hell in help wanted. I haven’t really watched the recent lore videos though so I could be wrong but that’s what I remember.

Well it's hard to explain but i'll explain 😂 - the story events begin from fnaf 5 to fnaf 2 ,to fnaf1 till fnaf3 .well most importantly is fnaf 2 as you asked . Charlotte(puppet) was the first victim of purple guy after the incident of fnaf5 when he lost his daughter he immerged immediatly in fnaf2 where henry entertainement . And strike his first victim Charlotte(puppet) after that he enter .he killed 5 children and while golden freddy(cassidy) was the owner of the party since her birthday so then charlotte alr became puppet. she saw the 5 corpse of children and she saved them in witherses animatronics in (fnaf2) .Well then puppet promised herself to protect children from afton(it's another story for it bc afton will kill again 5 childrens ) --then they repair them in fnaf1 so that why in minigame of fnaf1 you can see puppet came again to meet them after she saved then in fnaf2 then you know what will happend next that all for one question 😅 I hope you understand my explaination ;) have a nice day

Let me explain something rq. ''Age= Experience.'' That's cap. Experience means how experienced you are with fighting, abilities and with your hax and how powerful your enemies have been. Sure, Cassidy without Charlotte Emily would not have gained the ability to control Golden Freddy, but Cassidy is the one who made William actually suffer, she got her powers by her own with agony, vengeance, and more stuff. Marionette did not even show any powers, all she has done is give to life to the animatronics, change the posters ((fnaf 1)) to the missing crying children and that is basically everything she's done. And even, Marionette got captured by a NORMAL animatronic, so that just shows how ''aware'' she is. Golden Freddy has a buch of hax, teleportation, being able to make you have hallucinations, and even making the mayority of the purge of William A. If we count Fnaf AR too, we can say both William afton and Golden Freddy already escaped from the Purge that Cassidy made herself, and it was said it was ''Impossible.''
