I made a quick spam swarm deck with Quincy and tested it out in the ranking battles. It got me up to the doorstep of Paragon before I hit the wall and started getting 50/50 win-loss.

Yea meta in this game is very interesting,like with quincy action figure you can do double quick ready and double trouble which is lethal most of the times

Fry, I grinded to paragon with an all out anti-aggro deck, and it worked really well because 4 out of 5 opponents in ranked runs aggro Here's the deck: x2 Dart Twins (3 is too many and will eat up your board space) x3 Spike Storm (deletes early spam) x2 Tack Shooter (protection against pinks and otks) x3 Firestorm (deletes early-mid spam) x2 Hero protection (deletes bolstered, use it when you think you're about to get otk'd) x1 Investigator (not that important, but it's just a decent defending monkey and helps draw bloons since there's not a lot in this deck) x3 Slowing Bloon (slowing bloon is just busted) x2 Triple Shot (very efficient monkey against spam) x1 Try This (I added it as a joke, should only be used on triple shot or burny) x2 Farm (If they're playing slow, place farm. Don't place farm if they're hyper-aggroing) x2 Burny Stuff Mortar (This is busted. I don't know why I'm not running 3, but eh) x1 Druid (it's not that great, but it's like a tack shooter and half a quick break in one card) x2 Black Bloon (card draw i guess) x2 Ceramic Bloon (cerams are just great. Use it to kill opponents when they run out of steam) x3 Quick Ready (use it on bfb or ceram, and storm bloons) x1 Bfb (good if the game goes late, or to ensure the aggro player dies in 4 turn) x3 Jungle's Bounty (it's jungle's bounty) x3 Thunder Druid (it's thunder druid) x2 Super Monkey Storm (it's sms. The only reason I'm not running 3 is because i don't have a third one) The general idea is to completely shut down aggro, then surprise them with quick ready. If they're not aggro, stall out the game and find an opportunity to quick ready storm bloons to kill them The deck is kinda all over the place but you can make changes you think it needs (also, this deck doesn't run expensive monkeys because everyone and their grandmother is running shrink/negotiator)

Yippee! This stream was super fun to watch! I'm just sad that by the time I get Amelia or any other hero, I know the meta's going to have changed... Getting heroes is kinda painful in this game as a F2P they're SO EXPENSIVE!

In my personal opinion, I do believe bolstered bloon is better in aggro decks. Yes, swarms and regular bloons do more damage, but in any other matchup that is not aggro vs. aggro, bolstered bloon is more effective. New cards like twins and spike storm are excellent answers to the old aggro cards, which is often why people don't run them as much anymore.

i agree, but the meta is still aggro vs aggro so I don't think that in ranked, bolstered is ideal in the current meta

I run Bolstered in my aggro deck but will always get rid of it unless I am going second on High Finance(I avoid this map anyways) or I know I am against control. As you said it is usually just a bit to slow but since I’m not using any tower disabling powers it’s invaluable against control

You know, I don’t think it’s everyone playing aggro, when you do online matching, I think it’s the matchmaking that’s having you face any opponent that’s running aggro, like you are. Now I’m running the same issue, but for control decks, the majority of opponents I’d be facing have been running control decks, like a ton of them are. Now sometime I may find a different type of deck now and then, that isn’t running control, but the majority of players, I been facing are running control decks a lot! But as soon as I swap to aggro decks, out of nowhere, that’s when everyone is now running aggro, decks. Same reason for tempo. So again, I think it’s just the matchmaking that’s doing that. I believe the game program is reading what type of deck you’re running and it’s going to have you face the same type of group that’s running the same type of deck as you. That is my experience from what I’ve been playing. And that experience looks really similar to Fry’s too. If any of you had the same experience of the matchmaking doing this to you. Please let me know. I don’t want to be alone on this boat.

I was playing aggro Amelia before the Fry video and I think the 2/10 matches were aggro and the rest was control (the matches were won in few turns so not sure what type) I only lost to aggro

Ppl in ranked mode r so god dam aggro i cant try any fun decks like bolstered with amelia most cuz its quincy they can just use bloontonium to defend while I cant and im having save up 4 gold but by then im rly low on hp so dead to like pink so im just just using a defend deck and just let mostly storm send stuff and have them use up all there cards and become weak late in battle

If you play difensive, your deck has to have monkeys to deal in the early game. (Like twins, or mortar) That's why Gwen is good against agro, since she has "do 70 dmg to all bloons" card, that can deal pretty well against agro players in the early game, allowing you to survive to later rounds.

Fry, you should really run Whoops over Stunned! It has a stronger (imo) effect, especially against defender and later-game Monkeys (such as Supers). I think it also costs 1 compared to Stunned's 2 cost (I think it's 1 cost anyway). Just my own thoughts on the matter- fun looking deck still though! :)

Definitely, but give it time. BTD6 has been out for a long time and NK gives it small balance patches every couple of months. I'm very sure they'll do that with Card Storm.
