I've been a software dev at the same company for almost 5 years now and I probably couldn't have solved any of these questions lol. Just goes to show most of these are useless in the day to day of many programming jobs. Does look kind of fun though

@@saysthetedd That's exactly what I was afraid was going to happen to me when I finally decide to leave my current job and look for something else. I can understand the top 1% of tech companies using this sort of thing to weed out applicants because they can afford to be picky. However, as you said, I really don't think it's appropriate for any other companies to use these types of interview questions- unless the job specifically require DS/Algo for day to day tasks. I'm really not looking forward to having to put tons of hours into studying something I likely won't ever use while already working a full-time job and having other responsibilities. I really feel that the interview process has become too long and demanding for most companies, it's honestly quite ridiculous. Having 5 rounds of hour long interviews over the course of weeks for anything but a Microsoft/Google/Apple is insane. Also, I think that by requiring this type of knowledge many companies are really shooting themselves in the foot and likely turning away perfectly good candidates for the jobs they're looking to hire for.
