One challenge is rethinking demolition so that the skill of reclaiming or preserving is seen as a value; and then calculating that reclaimed or preserved value against the total cost of new material. The economic cost of careful or more intentional labor seems to be a required calculation and consideration. It is not immediately clear how to decouple these economic limitations from the total benefits of the reclaimed or otherwise preserved potential of both materials and the natural environment. Blessings on your efforts to highlight the problem and possibilities!
