@fsctrucking3 ай бұрын
We'll have to talk about that in the future. 👍
@AllianceB953 ай бұрын
Dont. The Switch Blade Turbo will not work with the stock exhaust manifold. The ports are too small, restricting the exhaust. And it's a B engine not a C or E engine... Oldschool needs oldschool parts to work properly. You get that SB Turbo and you tackle a big mountain or hill get ready to pop the turbo and need a expensive tow. The Cat 3406B has this match with turbo and engine for a reason... reliability.... More power => premature wear.

Great video FCS, I've been over that (HILL) many times over the last 15 years or so. I bought a car in Milroy long ago and the seller referred to that as the 7 mountains. I used to come from the Lewisburg area and would use 192 or 45 to 144 and 322 Burnham and Lewistown on a weekend shopping trip, I know about the slow speed on the north side of the mountain. If I would obey the speed limit the car behind would follow about 1/2 inch off my bumper. Construction was ongoing all those years ago. The Lewistown side was pretty well done. The last time I was there the Lewistown bypass over the mountain 22 is great. From your video I see it's greatly improved at Potterville. Thanks for the video. ....... Gary

I loved that route. I miss the sound of the engine working hard climbing the hill with the engine cooling fan on and the jack brake and the hill decent on the southbound side. There used to be to be a rest area at the top of that hill that gave you access to the state trail I believe. My dad worked for “Sauder Transit/Manufacturing” and he would go to Harrisburg PA almost every week back when I was a kid. They’re no longer around but they were the best and unique trucking company in the north east central and mid Atlantic and just for fun we were probably the biggest rivals to TMC, Maverick, and Bard on the road. If any of you old drivers from those companies remembered us you would have seen us in a 7 to 10 convoy at the clarion PA board plant probably 3 times a week.

Ever since #BusGreaseMonkey relocated to Tennessee and retired Lenny, I needed to watch an old school diesel vehicle get the job done, and your channel definitely fits the bill. You keep it real, especially with some of the family issues you had last year (& I know a little something about that myself), but I'm sure you will come through that as well. Congratulations on the new addition to the fleet (Chris has his work cut out for him), and if you do more with the channel, getting Orwell to drift would be something to see. The Bid Grade you went up over is called 7 mountains. I travel that mountain just about each and every day. A lot of drivers take that mountain for granted. It is way steeper than it looks. The back side of the mountain that you went down over has changed speed limit to 55 mph for trucks now ever since they rebuilt the road. now on the steep side you went up, is still 20 mph for trucks going down and you "MUST" stop at the top before you go down.

Popular nuance when meeting an owner operator on a rare home visit was to ask on those days, cabover, or conventional? On a side note: GMC Astro another cabover often seen by me growing up. In the early 70s my dad was selling Diamond Reo Trucks before they fell apart. From memory they sat on the lot awhile.
