The unprotected left turn was good. If any company can achieve level 5 full self driving it will be Tesla.

First will be tesla, many company can achieve level 5 in the next 5 to 7 years while tesla may achieve it the end of 2022

@@th3lastpawn620 Tesla FSD being L5 in the end of 2022 is definitely not going to happen. If it was a flawless L4 right now, it would be a different story, but now it's even far from L3. And L4 is a major difference compared to L3. Incase you don't know what level 5 implies : No human intervention is *ever* required at all. A steering wheel isn't required to even be in the car. A robotic vehicle that works on all kinds of surfaces, all over the world, all year around, in all weather conditions. No offense, but thinking they get there in 1-2 years from where they are now, is crazy.

@J Z Waymo Is level 4 in a very few select location. They have to put in a crazy amount of man to map out each new location. They can't compete at all in the real world

Looks like the green lane separaters are not visualized as cones... That could have contributed to the hesitation during the unprotected left... Wdyt?

@@sttrife if you watch most tesla fsd videos the car is having a hard time knowing in which lane to go but if hd maps or 3d maps were used just like any other robotaxi's like cruise waymo autox it won't have any proboem

Just remove the driver from seat.... Then you reliazed how hard the problem......improvement is okey, but even recent AV lidar based system is even better then tesla.... See California Disengagement report 2020.... Tesla has huge advantage of data but they just ignore lidar... Else they are leader in AV system....

And now they have dropped radar too as they have gone to 100% vision. Most beta testers have said the change to vision only has improved FSD so I would be careful to assume lidar is needed. We will know shortly when v10 is released in about 2 weeks for the beta testers.

They don't need Lidar. Most of the mistakes its making are in the planning, not in the perception.
