The one thing that annoys me most is msfs does not allow us to export these controls setups so the community can share their mappings like in dcs
@detaildigital66802 жыл бұрын
Great review! Absolutely concur. After using the TCA Boeing Yoke and Throttle Quadrant for the last few weeks, I can say without a doubt that the yoke is excellent. My biggest complaints come from the quadrant. My reversers respond precisely like yours (although I agree this is on MSFS 2020's end), but the overall build quality does not match the yoke's. The clamp securing the quadrant to the desk requires me to tighten it to the point that the metal begins to warp below the desk. Even tightened to such a degree, the quadrant doesn't feel nearly as secure as it should. Plus, the lack of a flaps lever, even without detents, is a cost-cutting measure that will undoubtedly leave many disappointed.
@ecidadeII2 жыл бұрын
Hello!! Is there a throttle quadrant that has the detents for the flap control? Maybe I could pair this quadrant with another to create the ultimate cockpit? Thanks!!

I’ll be getting the stand alone and pair it with the Bravo. Should be a nice combo

Yes that quad would be nice with it. The only thing this Boeing one left me wanting on the Bravo is bigger handle grips. I might pick up some aftermarket handles now.

I see on you video you also have a deadzone. Strange how you dont mention this. I did also buy a TCA but after detecting a deadzone on both x- and y-axis I returned it and got back my money. Even tried a firmware update first... A deadzone simply makes a joystick or yoke useless for me as you would not find that in any real aircraft. Fly safe ....

Nice review! LOL for the crazy throttle jumps in FS 2020. Glad to see Thrustmaster have done a decent job in terms of build quality, at least with the yoke. Shame they did a little too much cost-cutting (I guess) with the throttle. I would have considered buying this kit if the throttle was a complete unit - with 6 axes (1 x flaps, 1x spoilers, 2 x thrust and 2 x reverse thrust). I wonder if the community are going to be modding this, fixing some of the shortcomings with 3D prints and custom electronics.

Excellent review with detailed explanations. Very pleasant speaking and demonstration manner that give straight forward insights into the potential issues with these devices. I bought the Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls and Bravo Throttle quadrants. Nothing but problems with MSFS where things work sporadically. Have hours programming, uninstalling, re installing and totally aggravated with the interface. Hate flying the sim, and as a retired Professional Pilot I thought it is my incompetence with Simulation that was the problem. I’m finally prepared to switch to the Boeing TCA lineup and give this try. Based on what I read here, hoping this gets me back into “desk” flying given I no longer have access to the real heavy metal! Cheers. Thanks for the great insights.

For reverse thrust in msfs just use the same as the f2 button on the keypad decrease throttle and to cancel reverse briefly open and shut the throttles.This is for the PMPG 737.
@bruhincorporated2972 жыл бұрын
in MSFS you can map the side button on the throttle to Toggle reverse thrust, and then you can use the throttle to have full range of reverse thrust.

Great review ! I’ve got a GF Boeing yoke I used for my cockpit setup for Xplane 10/11 and the dimensions look about right for the TM. I will be getting it since the GF has some button problems and isn’t designed with the pendulum system as in the real ac. I too will be using the Bravo for my quad. Thanks for this review. Once I get the TM, I’ll be using it mainly for MSFS especially after pmdg releases their much anticipated 737. Hopefully it’s as good or better than zibos. Tho that may be close to impossible! Zibo has done excellent work on that ac! Cheers

Anyone else having a problem with the throttle quadrant turn dial. As it's always in either speed, heading or altitude mode this then cause flightsim to think that button is being pressed continually and it then causes the heading, speed and altitude windows to go up and down in 10s rather than 1s
