I only joined the MSFS 2020 bandwagon 2 weeks ago from the great xp11. Although I have had fs2020 premium deluxe since launch 2 years ago the performance was so bad and due to the videos on youtube with the poor performance still and arcade style, I never bothered to launch it after first tests. Then when the Fenix a320 and pmdg 737 dropped and I saw that there was a traffic addon (AIG traffic), I finally decided to jump in. But I couldn't without one last thing: FSRealistic CORE without knowing the V2 version was coming out only 4 days after I got the CORE. Having had xprealistic pro I knew the FS version would be huge. I upgraded to V2 yesterday and frankly this is a MUST for all sims but especially msfs2020.

Excellent video Mark. and your wife wise crack had me laughing. I bought the V1 program when it came out months and of course spent the small fee to upgrade to V2. It’s a well thought out program and making adjustments on the fly is a excellent feature. For myself flying without it will never be the same due to the movement during taxing. To be honest the program has made me work on my landings more due to the touch down effects… LOVE IT!

"That sounded too much like my wife" 🤣🤣 Excellent review Mark. I've since tried it and I'm a bit disappointed with some of the sounds, I can hear where they loop and it gets rather irritating after a while. I also feel many of the payware quality GA don't need this extra enhancement, otherwise it's overkill. I'll keep tinkering but so far, I'm not convinced. I also think there is some confusion that this program automatically applies a bespoke profile to every aircraft, I don't think this is the case, it's just picking up the aircraft file from the folder. I'd imagine it's more generic. However, I do have it for another 6 days so I'll keep trying it. Maybe I'm just being too grouchy ;)

It has 5 standard profiles which it applies in the background, based on a loose assignment such as airliner, turboprop. GA, floats etc. They are generic assignments largely. You do need to invest some time to get it to what you want. The cabin ambiance sounds etc are really just a novelty, it’s the airframe items that I like the most. 👍

Nice video, thanks! I have this for XP and really like it. Also love the 7 day try before you buy. Developers that have this option says a lot about the software in that they must feel it is good and people will like it and will buy it. I also like the fact it works with TrackIR and with PMDG 737 and Fenix A320! Cheers!

Thanks for the great review Mark. I got mine for less than £5, being an existing FSRealistic customer. I'm sitting on the fence with it so far, as I don't think it's anywhere near optimised enough for VR, and I only fly in VR. A shame really, but I hear that it's still a WIP.

Excellent video as always Mark. Not sold on this piece of software though I have to say. Asobo have said the camera shake is coming to SU10 anyway, and the sound effects would just grate on me! I assume now that Asobo have unlocked the camera shake feature in the SDK that third party plane developers, and even flightsim.to community developers will be able to do this too. It reminds me a bit of the universal runway texture packs you can get. Fine if you just fly on autogen airports but if you buy decent third party airports they do the runway texturing far more accurately for that airport anyway.

Mark, it does work with the Butt kicker, however you forget to mention that you cannot make adjustment in hp vr (the menus does not come up)

I like the concept and bought it because I own the core version already and with build up credits at Just Flight it was less than 3 euro. But not being able to use the GUI in Vr and default profiles are worthless in top 3rd party aircraft and owning 259 planes it’s just too much work to fine tune it for all the aircraft that I usually fly that include these options perfectly like the newest Spitfire. It comes down to the community that share it to the cloud so you can download it but it’s more miss that hit I’m afraid because top download for the spit has people talking playing around with seatbelt and so on what’s totally wrong. The def should have setup good working profiles for each plane already. It has potential and let’s hope the community does help out in the future. Great video but the bad side what I just explained should be mentioned also. Live your humor with remarks and does show the funny part of this software because I did hear “any landing you walk away from is a good landing” doing my usual sparky moves made me laugh

Out of the blue the other day I picked this airport. Opened the world map to find a place that was daylight and clear weather. Wanting to fly in an area with mountains. I was flying the Goose. When the sim loaded up, I was thinking, this might not be such a great idea. However, it was a blast. I just barely cleared the trees too! FSRealistic would have been sweet, as I'm sure the passengers probably would have had something to say about my 'careless' takeoff. I did not attempt a landing there though. Made a few water landings and even dropped the gear to pull up on a beach. I went down to the flat lands to make my final landing at Mozes Kilangin.

Do you have a problem with reverse thrust sounds. Or applause. Cant be sure on the second part as my landings are rough. But no reverse thrust for me

Mark, I have been testing this software in VR and have discovered an issue. If you go into VR with FSREALISTIC installed and setup everything is fine, if then come out of VR and then go back into VR you get massive stuttering.. I have checked this a few time... The only way to fix this is to uninstall FSREALISTIC then everything works fine you can step in and out of VR without a problem.

Hi Mark. How did you bring up the FS menu page during flight?

If using full screen for sim on a single monitor, hit the windows key, type fsrealistic and open the prog. It will pop up on top. If using windowed mode in sim, pin prog to task bar 👍

I’ve had this since it first came out. Works nicely with my tactile transducers (Butt kickers), I turn off a lot of the carnival sounds, but I have an issue with it; when flying in level cruise at altitude, it would scare the dickens out of me by suddenly playing the landing thud. Repeatedly! The previous update and reinstalls didn’t improve the issue. Developer said it wasn’t them. I haven’t been using it and the issue is not there. Tried it again a couple months ago and it was back. Wonder if this version will now work for me better? Thanks!

Ok, I purchased the upgrade Pro v2. Tested it and everything is working as it should! No more landing bump during level flight. But I find the movements way too much (C172) and dizzy making in VR, but everything can be tweaked and reduced or removed to get it just right. Nice improvement!

I thought id try the 7 day free trial and stream it on Twitch. Some of the sounds for eg "Airport Tarmac Ambience with Idling, Taxiing & Plane Take-Offs - Sound Ideas" Audio is blocked as it is Copyright according to Twitch, along with some other sounds in FSRealistic. Is this because im using the Trial Version, or will i also have this issue with the Full Version? Can i appeal this and for what reason may i appeal this copyright claim? If im going to pay for this i want to be able to stream it and not have copyright claims and sections of audio muted by Twitch. Any advice or suggestions please :)

I first bought this for X-plane 11, so I suppose the discount will apply to me as well? I've downloaded the Trial Version but haven't given it a Go yet until later in the day. Hope the subsidy applies, please, otherwise I'll have to waddle off - PMDG and Fenix have cleaned me up until much-much later, I'm afraid.

Any external program like this will probably never be available on console, and that goes for planes that use external programming like the Fenix a320 as well.
