FT Edge 540 now painted 7 April 2019

I finally got around to adding landing gears and painting my FliteTest Edge. A very agile model but one word of cautions. My first model was built as recommended with no center section wing spar with fatal results as seen in my January video. With two short spars added to tie the two wing halves together all is well.

Paint scheme just whimsy based on pre WW2 US Navy themes which for my old eyes were easy to see when flying. Thank you for your note of praise. Jim

Remember, my answer is from an old and slow pilot but I balanced my model as recommended at 3.25 inches or 83mm aft of the leading edge of the wing. As you gain confidence, you may shift it aft to liven up an already agile model. Thank you for your question. Jim

This is supposed to be fun...If you are at odds with this, perhaps you're taking it too seriously and a short moment to breath and decide if the hobby is worth your worry. Did I mention, the wings folded in flight on my first effort with the Edge? Look it up, I posted it. If I wasn't enjoying the hobby, wrecks and all I wouldn't keep coming back. Jim

barqwoof my first time ever building. Didn’t want to buy a plane to ruin it for my first RC flight. I fly quads usually. I wonder if mine will even fly. The mid section doesn’t line up very well when I place it.. I guess I could squish it down with rubber band. Idk I worked hard on it. Just a bummer that this last part isn’t quite right. I wonder if all the imperfections will keep it from flying or will I be able to trim out or what. Just don’t know what to expect waiting on servos to arrive. Sorry for being an ass. I’m not fun.
