In the 80's, my family bought a 6ft mesh C band. Fun to use. I inherited another C band in the late '90's. Used it for a while, then got rid of it. Ku band always looked to be C-band's little brother. I may start with Ku band for easy install, then work back up to C-band.

Liked your video. I had a 10ft dish when I lived in Texas. Sold the house moved the dish minus the pole. Used it for 8 years in Greenville NC. Now live outside Nashville and looking for something to use my dish for other than collecting weeds. Keep up the good work.

What I love about my C band dish is I get channels that have shows and movies from the 70's 80's and 90's on MeTV and ThisTV Laff and all the other Diginets that I dont get with my local over the air channels! #FreeSatelliteTV

So far I've been very pleased with it. I'm waiting on one more part to make it move, and then I can't wait to scan the sky!

Farpoint Farms You’re going to have a satellite and antenna farm out there before long , and I don’t blame you . I would too if I lived out in the country! Hope the dipole is of some use to you and you get it set up to where it will work , if nothing else use an adapter and plug it up to a scanner or the shortwave radio 👍. Looking forward to knowing how it turns out

Interesting project. Looks like you're about to have yourself some fun. Me I'm just a simple AM radio kind of guy. Maybe a little side band thrown in. LOL.

I'm just hooked on radio in general. This falls under that "It came from outer space" thing that interests the younger me.

Found your channel searching for information on setting up my CV and antenna. Lots of great information. I was wondering if you do anything with scanners. I have a old radio shack digital trunking 400ch scanner. And want to look at something newer. I but them off eBay. Cause it's just for fun. And learning about them. So I don't want to spend alot on them. Til I know more. I got my cobra LTD 29 classic chrome new. And a lil will magnet mount for my truck. I do construction. And plow snow in the Cleveland Ohio area. Only had the cb a week. Trying to make sure everything it set up right. And if my ladder rack will cause interference. I like your channel. And the information. To help other understand cb radio. I'm 47 it was big when I was a kid. In the 70s & 80's keep up the great work! Over and out! Lol👍🤠😁

Interested in what you can get off it. I have a dish I recovered but never got set up in time to make use of the analog equipment I had. Still wonder if I could make use of the LNC and SA receiver I have with some kind of converter but probably just have to use new electronics.

Did you say that the model of the dish is "Home Cable" ? I tried looking it up and didn't find anything. I have similar dish thus my interest.
@FarpointFarms9 ай бұрын
Yup. Me either. I tried to find info on it, but it was apparently a fly by night company. It's still up and running in 2024 so I guess they built them well!

@@taganize I was replying to a comment about the maker of this dish. I can't find any info on them. Then I mentioned that the dish still works well in 2024.
