I used to know the bass player from our school days. A little older than me but several members of his original band I knew quite well. Followed them to the final of a live and unsigned competition at the O2 dome in London. His name is Gorran. I always get so hyped seeing how far he’s gone in his musical career.

Gorran’s voice takes me back to the 60s 70s with a little bit of Jim Morrison and other great names thrown in, his/ their Sympathy for the Devil is very good and not many bands will even touch it. Nina Simone cover is fantastic along with Ren’s Wade in the water.

I've watched this numerous times. Ren is an enigma. You never know what you are gonna get ... except for pure creativity, that is. I loved Bob Marley and The Wailers. To pull off that wee piece, especially with its own unique charm rather than trying to do a " copy " of Bob, takes a very rare and extremely special talent. Nobody could ever truly copy Bob, he was inimitable. LOVED your reaction brother. 🙏

I lived next door to Bob in London late 70s went to several of his concerts . Even smoked a joint round his house. Not bad for an old white lady. Certainly wasn’t old then. Memories. He and Reggae were huge around the London scene and I remember some Rasta friend of his was riding a bicycle the wrong way around a busy roundabout. Obviously he was run over, inevitably it was a double decker bus. I was on that bus. 😮Thankfully he survived and when asked why he did it he replied it was the fastest way to the moon. 😂
